I got this so I CAN control focus and Zoom at the same time when needed... also GREAT for off-gimbal control.
EDIT: Forgot to mention in the video that the 'receiver' is included in the box. ALSO very important note - when the 'handle' is in DJI Mode you CAN change the functions such as ISO and so on... exactly what you can do with the 'normal' gimbal wheel. Additionally the button with the white square is the 'trigger' function.
The USB-C port is for firmware updates ONLY... pls do NOT plug a charger into it ;)
Additionally, the maximum distance for the handle to still operate is 80 meters according to the manual.
Furthermore, and VERY, VERY important - you CAN put the wireless receiver on the left Nato if you prefer. When I first got it and tried the left it did not work because the pins were not aligned correctly... take note of that on BOTH sides.
I bought mine from CVP UK - Check them out, they were super amazing updating me with info AND when mine arrived without the 'manual' in the box they linked me to the PDF manual -
cvp.com/produc...
YOU can also find the manual here on the 'product page' - tilta.com/shop...
Oh and a dab of epoxy fixes the 'self-ejecting' joystick head.
And Tilta has increased 'International Shipping to $45'!!

@aNELeOnwuka

Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed the video. I will say 'YES" but will give the example I know for a fact... as shown in the video I use the BMPCC 4K camera, the 'native' mount is MFT. If I put on an MFT lens like my Panasonic 12-35 then I do NOT have to use a focus motor and can pull focus electronically. I guess native mounts with native lenses should allow you to do that.

Hi, glad you enjoyed the video. The control for the BMPCC 4K and pretty much every other camera is from a cable plugged into the TOP port of the RS2 gimbal - the cable comes in the box when you buy the gimbal. I believe the RS3 Pro can do this with bluetooth - I am not 100% sure.

Thanks for this detailed review! The LCD screen looks tiny like the one on the Nucleus Nano, which is extremely difficult to read. Q: Does the handle mount at the bottom only, or can it be mounted at top end? Q: Other than the Nato rail that you added to the RS 2 handle, does everything else come as shown in your video?
@aNELeOnwuka

Yes it connects from both ends as it is also used for the 'ring'. The screen is small but is higher quality than the screen on my Nano; better to read but dang I'm with you on small screens. Everything including the Rx connected to the side of the gimbal is included in the box.

Hi there, glad you enjoyed the video. I use a special adapter to get power from the gimbal as shown in an older video of mine - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2a9aHl-Z9lpj9E Later Tilta released a special cable that I use for something else - tilta.com/shop/nucleus-nano-motor-micro-usb-to-rs-2-8v-power-cable/ What I actually use the Tilta cable for is to power my camera from the RS2 shown here (my own version of the dummy is shown near the end but do watch the whole video) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZCtqKCQbKtrd6s Hopefully this helps answer your question.

@aNELeOnwuka
@aNELeOnwuka 3 ай бұрын
Hiya, can you try this - full steps - 1) Turn ON 2) Press the ON button 3 times (it's also the 'menu' button... I know man) 3) Use joystick to get to FUNCTION 4) Press the button with the 'M' - it will show 'Wheel Calibration' 5) Press the 'M' button again - it will show 'Start-End' 6) Move focus wheel to your 'start' point 7) Press button with the 'square' FOUR times. 8) Move focus wheel to your 'end' point 9) Press button with 'square' FOUR times. 10) Press button with 'M' ONCE. 11) Press ON button once to return... now calibrated for that 'range'. Have never liked the speed of the above method; way too fast. Personally I prefer the WHOLE range; also easier to do Repeat all the above to step 5 6)Move focus wheel all the way to one end, pause for a sec and roll all the way to the other end. 7) Press button with 'M' once. 8) Press 'ON' button once to return - You now have calibration 000-999 with full smooth rotation. I've left mine like this since forever; if you find anything else out let me know. I hope this is what you meant.

@@aNELeOnwuka Thank you so much for this detailed reply. Tilta makes some great gear, but the control handles and Nano gear uses cryptic button presses that are hard to remember, and tiny menus that are hard to see. I will print out your instructions and try to commit them to memory. BTW, once the wheel is properly calibrated, I often set the A+B stops to set my focus points across the full travel of the control wheel. This often allows for MUCH smoother and finer control, rather than trying to manually land on the A and B points within the range of the control wheel. To set the A+B points, you have to dive into the menu to find this under the function features of the motor. BTW, the A+B points ONLY work in the "Tilta mode" with the Nano motors. I wasn't able to set A+B points with the DJI motor. Thanks again!

Here is my original 'rod fix' video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGrIiIKfp795ZsU Then recently this became available and comes with the 'adapter sleeve' - it will also fit Tilta cages but NO other Smallrig cage (I also have one but still use the ones I made) - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B094JMJ37B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 As you are going to use a cable cam maybe see if these from a different video of mine will be useful - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZCtqKCQbKtrd6s All the best.

@aNELeOnwuka

Hey man, I'm fairly certain it will NOT work with the RSC2. The gimbal you have doesn't have the Nato contact points for the 'receiver' to attach to and as a result, no way to communicate or work.
