I moved to Texas in 1980. I think Southern Park Mall will continue to thrive, especially with so many people from all over the country moving back.

The dome was a restaurant in Strouss before Kaufmanns took over and was vovered up

@@scottmcnutt6123 I wish I could’ve experienced and seen that although back in the Detroit area I at least did get to see the restaurants that were inside the very famous Hudson department store never got to experience the main downtown location, but I did go to the mall ones in the late 90s and very early 2000sbefore they were changed to Marshall Fields and then Macy’s

Unfortunately, the Debartlo Legacy exhibit was just removed. The sale of the mall has not yet been confirmed. Also, this footage is way older than two weeks.

@@TalsarGeldon sorry to say but the footage I shot is time coded as follows. January 2024 and September 2024 so yes it’s fairly current.

@TiltedTripodMedia, then the shots that show the old children's place, the empty space on the left at 8:32. That's had vinyl wrap on the windows hor a while. It's going to be a Miniso store. The CBD store, which has been gone for a while, at 9:35. And Go Games and Go Calendars, 9:55, isn't there anymore. It moved down to the old Gamers Loung, the empty space next to Pink. And an FYE reopened where it was. So that footage must be from January.
