Im 20 years old I wrestled in high school and just about to get an associates in college by 2023 and instead of continuing my other career which is 2 more years. This coming summer of 2023 I’m going to apply for a tryout and hopefully I get accepted to go to Orlando at the performance center because if I don’t try it now there’s a good chance I won’t get an opportunity like this anymore so hopefully with some sacrifices I can get an opportunity to show my true passion for wrestling and I don’t care if I have to drive 12 hrs from NC to Florida and sleep on my car the whole time, as long as I get my chance to prove myself I will show I have what it takes.

Hey Mike I would like to thank you on behalf of everyone who watches and gains knowledge from your videos and your teaching. I am 16 years of age and live in the small province of Newfoundland and Labrador Canada. The facilities near me are lacking to say the least. My plan is to train hard in the gym and work on my physique until I am able to get out on my own and pursue wrestling school. My question to you would be, do you know of any reputable wrestling schools on the east coast of Canada? I work every day on my mindset and work ethic because I know I have what it takes to reach my goals I am an extremely dedicated individual who wants to be the best version of my self I can possibly be. Thanks again sir! Wishing you all the best.

I was just happy to work a few Indy shows. A number envision themselves as stars in AEW or WWE...most will never even sniff a try out with either. That said, your advice will give a heads-up on that possible success. What you have presented here is a blueprint for that success... Not a guarantee, but to omit your advice is a blueprint for failure. Not as big a fan of today's product as much of the old kayfabe days that I grew up with...and, I would suggest that any aspiring "WWE Superstar" study what made guys like Killer Karl Kox, Harley Race, Fritz Von Erich, Dick The Bruiser, etc the stars that they were in their day. What was special then would be perceived as original now. Study the work style and character of what works now...but, don't neglect what was over in the past.

Late to the video and I’m not actively looking to become a wrestler but I do love the sport. How much of what you see in a wrestling match is legitimately actively trying to hurt your opponent. Due to everything being scripted I always wondered how wrestlers trying to make it to the wwe that start out on smaller promotions get noticed if it’s all scripted

i know its best to start young, but you dont necessarily have to force yourself to go in as early as possible if it isnt working. theres been a good amount of examples of wrestlers starting old/older than usual and having good success (sheamus, joe hendry, ddp, chris danger albeit he was already famous, etc) and, iirc, joe hendry specifically gave this advice

Hello Mike, Thank you so much for your incredible content! My name is Ziad Ashraf, and I’m from Egypt. I’ve been following your channel for a while now, and your advice has truly inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming a WWE wrestler. However, my journey comes with its unique set of challenges. Living in Egypt, resources and opportunities to train at a professional level are quite limited, and I’ve faced skepticism and doubt from those around me. But despite these obstacles, I’m determined to push forward and make my dream a reality. I’m currently working on improving my English to better connect with the wrestling world and training with whatever means I have. I would be so grateful if you could share any specific advice on how someone in my situation can keep progressing, stay motivated, and find pathways to be recognized internationally. How can I stand out and stay prepared until the day I get my chance? Thank you again for being such a motivating figure in the wrestling community. Your guidance means a lot to dreamers like me who are striving to overcome the odds. Best regards, Ziad Ashraf
@TilWeMakeIt2 ай бұрын
Ziad, thanks for your kind words, they are very much appreciated! And your English is superb; you are on the right track so far! I’ve looked into the Egyptian scene a few times in the past year, and it doesn’t look to me like there are any options for quality training there. So, if you don’t have a passport…maybe that’s next on the To Do list. If you are comfortable traveling north into Europe, there are training options in Cyprus (a new company that just started), at least 2 options in Greece (including ZMAK near Athens) and solid training in both Romania and Italy as well. If you prefer going east, SPW is in Saudi Arabia and they offer training as well. You could learn the fundamentals in any of these places, and begin building an international network of connections from there. Best of luck to you!
@Zyadashraaf2 ай бұрын
@TilWeMakeIt Hi Mike, Thank you so much for your detailed and thoughtful response! I wanted to share a little more about myself. I’m 17 years old, and my biggest dream is to one day join WWE and become a professional wrestler. I’ve been using dictionaries and translation tools to ensure I understand everything and improve my English so I can communicate better and learn more about wrestling. I also wanted to share that I am currently a high school student and have been going to the gym for the past two years to build my strength and fitness. I face challenging circumstances in my country, which I believe will only make me stronger and more determined to succeed. It’s my dream to travel to the United States and pursue my wrestling career. These challenges fuel my motivation to work harder and never give up on my goal. It would be an honor to connect with you on any platform and have the chance to speak with you if you ever have the time. You have truly summarized everything I have been searching for in terms of guidance and motivation. I follow you on Instagram (my username is zyadashraaf) and have sent you a direct message. I hope you might see it. If I ever make it to WWE, I will make sure to share that you were one of the key reasons for my success. I will never forget this support. Thanks again for your support and guidance. It means a lot! Best, Ziad Ashraf

Hi, Thank you for the lovely video. Very informative but I have a couple questions. I was wondering, if you have pro wrestling expierence but you have no highlights to submit. Is it possible to show gym training and judo workout? Also, I wanted to find out, where I live unfortunately gyms are closed. I was thinking would home workouts or outdoor workouts oke to send or is it best to wait for the gyms to reopen? Any tips regarding this Also for the body shot is it best to wear gym clothing or something to show of your physique, if you have no pro wrestling gear? I’m also confused in regards to, the question on the application form. Choose the “Type” of background that best describes you. The options are wrestler, athlete, other and referee. I wanted to find out if you know what they mean by other? Also what type of athletic background are they looking for to obtain a tryout, because they have options of, high school, recreational, performer, collegiate, Olympic, professional, amateur/semi-pro. Is it essential to have acting and public speaking experience ? When uploading the video link it says, ‘referred’? I was wondering do you need to be referred by someone to be able to a tryout with the performance centre or is it possible to get a tryout without being referred as the application online is asking for it 😀 I do apologise for all the questions. Thank you so much

Is there a video which details your workout/eating routine?
@TilWeMakeIt4 жыл бұрын
No, but this year my diet has really changed to get away from carbs and reduce both my sugar and gluten intake by 80%. I've dialed up the amount of protein I take in, with a daily goal of half my body weight in grams of protein; meaning that since I weigh 180 lbs, I try to take in 90 grams of protein per day. If you are 150 lbs, maybe shoot for 75 grams of protein every day to start. A few of my friends who have way more muscle mass than I do actually eat DOUBLE their weight in grams of protein everyday, which sounds like a lot of eggs and chicken breasts and protein shakes. I take several vitamins and supplements to fill in for the things I'm not eating enough of, since changing my diet over so drastically. After a month or so of eating inside these new parameters, it just became routine. I take a cheat day every 2 weeks and eat terribly.

Mike I’m 28 and just finished Pro Wrestling training am I just too old to audition? Also ( probably a dumb question here ) if not, if was a masked character would I wanna send headshots of my current character? Or should it be headshots of my body/face without my mask? Thank you!
@UncleYakuza4 жыл бұрын
Probably not, WWE isn’t like other sports where you usually start at 18. 28 is a good age to start because when I looked in to it, I remember it saying something about experience involved so it would be a few years after graduating, so you are fine
@TilWeMakeIt4 жыл бұрын
Hi TJ! I don't think 28 is too old to audition. At one point, the cut off was 31, and then WWE started considering people as old as 35 (last year). One of my guys, who wrestles with a mask on, was asked to send both headshots - one masked, and one unmasked - during the application process. So I would have both at the ready, send the masked one, and that way if they ask for the other, you don't have to panic and then rush out and get the other one done in a hurry. Good luck man!

They supply hotel, but not all food is covered (some, not all.) You do not pay a fee to try out for WWE.

Thank you for the advice my dream has always been to become a wwe superstar I just turned 19 I don’t have any wrestling experience but I’m not gonna stop till I make it and do my best to stand out do you have another advice for someone who is going to wwe with out any wrestling experience like should I learn to take bumps at a local ring or anything that would help out?
@TilWeMakeIt3 жыл бұрын
Collyn, it's extremely unlikely that you'll go directly to the WWE with no wrestling experience. My advice would be to find an independent wrestling company near you that offers training, and join as soon as possible so you can begin learning the basics 👍
@collynellis40763 жыл бұрын
@@TilWeMakeIt I’m confused because you said we don’t need any wrestling experience you just need to work on sum skills and I could meet people in the gym would like Joe Defranco who trained liv Morgan and helps train triple H

Im German and not that good at English. The thing I am most scared of is not understanding what one of the Coaches is telling me to do. I want to move to North America when I'm old enough. But not understanding and doing something wrong is my biggest fear.
@TilWeMakeIt3 жыл бұрын
Fynn, I understand your concern. During my stints at the Performance Center, I can tell you with certainty there were MANY people there that spoke no English. You'll learn as you go, and they are totally prepared for circumstances like yours.

What if I want to become a pro wrestler but I’m only 69,93 inch ? As I see if you’re that height you will never become as big of a superstar as Cena, Rock etc. You will only get stuck at midcard. Is that right?
