I’ve previously strayed from acknowledging being gay in my online presence for reasons I’ve finally outgrown. Not only am I gay, I’m ecstatically married to the most wonderful human being that I’ve been lucky to know for almost 13 years! With that said, here is the beginning of an unexpected journey that lead me to Tim 😊
Part 1 : "The Big Leap"
Suppressed inner thoughts & feelings come to light in this first part of the series. The opportunity for a spontaneous blind date with a gay man leads to a struggle of conscience, culminating into a thoughtful soul searching questioning of personal & religious beliefs surrounding the topic of being gay.

“Some people live to hate others, in the name of God” that statement is heartbreaking to me. I love God and God IS love. Those people who live like that statement do not KNOW the TRUE God. They are worshipping a false God, and are deceived by his limits. The God I love and know is LIMITLESS. He loves ALL of His creation, EVERYBODY. I actually feel sorry for that girl. In choosing to treat you this way she got to keep a friend just as shallow and cruel as herself and miss out on an amazingly lovely kind caring creative guy like you. I doubt she’d ever be able to create for herself the kind of life that you and Tim share.

I can't stop thinking about that girl. I know her type, sadly she really liked you, however she was insecure and therefore doing what her friends said to just because she wanted to please them, even though it wasn't really her. Her loss, you may not have had a relationship however you could have remained good friends.

Hi Jane, Interesting perspective! Yes, her friend did try to intervene in many of our plans and may have been the influence behind the non-date. Her friend didn't really like me for some reason - I might have just not seemed "cool" enough to be around, so this might have been a way for her friend to get me to go away so she could find someone that she thought was better. Though I sound slightly bitter in the video about this happening, I was trying to portray my feelings back then, because I was a little bitter about it right after it happened lol. Today though, like with many things of the past, I have learned to forgive through contemplation and eventually, understanding. :) - Christopher

the first day of the rest of your life 💕. Yes I can't wait for part 2 either. I grew up in Namibia in Africa. in my teens homosexuality became officially illegal. One day I read the letters published between Virginia woolf and Vita Sackville-west. All of a sudden it occurred to me women could be together, live together and be in love. That changed my life. I moved to neighbouring South Africa and once it became legal married the first woman who asked me out. (We had lived together for 4 years) By luck it simply worked out. That was 15 ago ❣️

Oh that's so sad to hear and so sad that that's true in everyday why can't people just be kind to each other!
