Back in the '70s, I had a Bultaco Alpina set up for trials (Sherpa T top end, Mikuni carb, different sprockets), kind of the best of both worlds. While my friends were MX'ing and breaking bones, me and my buddy who had a Honda trials bike took it slow and had some great fun.

So basically what is the difference in words between a trials bike and an enduro bike? Skilled riders seem to manage both pretty well. I am particularly interested to know if I can fit a saddle on a trials bike and ride single trails easier than I would on an enduro bike, because I can't handle the enduro bikes that are out there in the market, they are too tall and heavy for me.

I recommend you the "trial-excursion" which are basically trials bikes with more comfortable saddle, a bit more fuel tank capacity and longer upper gears. The best currently out there are Montesa 4ride and Sherco Xride.

Jim Fangmann Ithink he has ridden trials. It forms a solid basis 🏢 throttle control and balance. Plus it scares hell out of the wife when you putt up onto a roof. Then she asks,"how are you getting down?" Same way I got up here. That fight lasted for 15 years.

The Trial bike is made for this. The motor cross bike isn’t really because they don’t have as much room to bend down and get the pump they need to get over objects. And the Trial bike is more lighter in weight.
