Love her short hair! I love how she interacts with the audience. So trusting and funny! I don’t think a star like Carol could ask strangers in their audience to come on stage and give them a gift today!!
@mls_words_of_wisdom3 жыл бұрын
@Executive Decision oh, you thought I was talking about her hair-not being able to do that today. I see how you might think that-but I was talking about asking strangers from your audience to come up on stage and give you gifts. I don’t think any star performer would feel safe doing that today. I’ll edit my comment.

Interacting with the studio audience in the beginning of the show is one of the many great qualities that Carol Burnett possess. She did the same thing at her live show I attended. What a Blessing & Honor to see Her live on stage. Classy, charming & of course Hilarious

Mrs Carol Burnett I’ve been your favorite fan many years. I’m 74 now, and I love watching all your full HILLARIOUS episodes; you are a great actor writer singer and comedian. So sad that nowadays u just can’t find clean family oriented comedy shows. I’m from the old school where comedy shows were clean, funny & for family. I remember the comedy black & white tv shows where only their actions portrayed wonderful comedy without speaking a word or sound from their mouths. I still enjoy them. Your regulars Harvey Korman , doggone funny, Tim Conway, what a genius of comedy performances, Vicki Lawrence so talented, an actor dancer singer and comedian, all y’all playing different characters in your comedy shows. I literally can’t get enough of your shows. I’m very thankful to CBS & You Tube for playing all your skits and full episodes. Keep it going for I so wish more of our younger generation would watch your shows and know how life was so simple but wonderful during the years your shows were on. A big ole HUG to you all & to your special guest star appearances.

Carol was always such a humble person. I loved how the guests got to sign her own autograph book. When it comes on tv nowadays, they basically do the skits and that's about it. But it misses out big time on the Broadwayesque part. The choreography and music are amazing! Too bad there's not a show that can hold a candle to Miss Burnett. Happy Birth Month Carol!

Taking on Tim Conway was the best choice they could have made. Perfect match for the others . Loved him. His smile was so cute too. " A week really times when you having a good fly" lol. I loved when he went off script a bit and how hard he would make it for Harvey to keep it together sometimes and also Carol and when Vicki doing Mama would collide with him later on. The show was perfect before he came along and joined, but after he became part of them, he took it from a 10 to a 15. I miss those days. But so happy we can watch them again! I was a kid through the years they were on. Watched with my grandma. Such fun we had watching them. Oh to go back and get to watch TV back then with her, especially this show.

She was also great in the TV movie "Friendly Fire" as a mother who searched for the truth about what happened to her son who was killed in Vietnam. And loved her guest appearance on "Law & Order: SVU" as a former dancer whose husband died under mysterious circumstances ("Ballerina"). There was another TV movie I remember that featured her as a middle-aged career woman who discovered she was pregnant and decided to raise the child herself. I think it was called "The Tenth Month" and showed how her character's lifestyle changed once she became a mother.
