Tim Cook's Top 10 Rules For Success (@tim_cook)

He's an American business executive, and is the Chief Executive Officer of Apple Inc.
He also serves on the board of directors of Nike, Inc. and the National Football Foundation.
In April 2012, Time included Cook on its annual "100 Most Influential People in the World" list.
He's Tim Cook and here are his Top 10 Rules for Success.

1. People, Strategy and Execution
He earned his Master of Business Administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business in 1988.
2. Be yourself
After graduating from Auburn University, Cook spent 12 years in IBM's personal computer business.
3. Strive for perfection
Later, he served as COO of the computer reseller division of Intelligent Electronics.
4. Write your own rules
In a commencement speech at Auburn University, Cook said he decided to join Apple after meeting Steve Jobs for the first time.
5. Stay focused
His first assignment was SVP for worldwide operations.
6. Love your work
After Jobs resigned as CEO, Cook was named CEO on August 24, 2011.
7. Listen to your gut
He attended a closed-door summit held by President Barack Obama, in regard to government surveillance and the Internet.
8. Don't get distracted by life's potholes
In March 2015, Cook was named number 1 in Fortune's: World's Greatest Leaders.
9. Learn from others
Under Cook's leadership, Apple has increased its donations to charity.
10. Stay with the North Star
According to Fortune, Cook has Apple stock worth about $120 million and options with a value of $665 million.

These short snippets weigh heavy in thought. I'm actually working on something right now and listening to his interview with Charlie Rose about focus/excellence on the few, made me think. I've heard that before but we tend to get distracted by the noise and that just drove that point home, by listening to him. Thanks for sharing this.

Tim cook gives some excellent tips. I like #4 and #10. I think we should write our own rules to success. We should create our own systems and our own economies! And I like #10 because we should be focused on the result. The path can change but our goal doesn't have to. #BTA83

I think this man's work is questioned by people that barely know he exists, as well as people who don't have a mindset to comprehend art or business. Thank you so much for sharing. This video is filled to the gills with great insight, examples and inspiration. With that said, at least for the moment, the one example that moved me was number 8. DON'T GET DISTRACTED BY LIFE'S POTHOLES. It's is so easy to succumb to the darkness that creeps in from time to time. Hearing Tim Cook share his struggles in life, struck a chord, and confirmed that I need to take my own advice when I tell others that when times get tough, to keep moving forward, and that that the suffering too shall pass. It's the law of impermanence. I certainly wouldn't be here today if I gave in to the challenges that I was confronted with. Like Tim says, we must visualize our ultimate goal, prepare for it, trust in and have faith...This came at the perfect time. Thank you so much for making all these wonderful videos and brightening our days...keep on keeping on #BTA11
