Having Tim Curry in the movie was not only monumental; but having him as the narrator is just amazing. Because, not only is he the original Frank n furter, he’s the voice of the whole story, kinda the all knowing one. Not shaming the original one; but with Tim Curry it’s just even better; because Frank n furter is still in control of the story

It's sad how some people think he shouldn't play in this movie, because of his condition. Tim Curry was enthusiastic about playing in the remake and accepted the role he was given. He has a certain body of work now, he still manages to do things. I saw a video from Fanmio and I was pleasantly surprised how animated and cheerful he became since stroke. I even noticed him smiling and heard him singing somewhere else and the voice is still there. He's doing really good guys!

Even Tim said himself he didn't like the remake. He said the role of Frank N Furter was too confusing because he was never meant to be a transexual woman. Tim said the whole point of it was that he was a man in drag. That was the joke and this remake has taken that away from the film

Thanks as I was wondering if I should watch it and the only reason I wanted to was for Tim Curry TBH. The characters are all wrong after seeing a quick preview. Frank n Furter needs to be played by a man dressed as a woman not a man who turned himself into a woman. It just does not work.

This is another case of the original being much much much better. At least Tim Curry nailed it on Superheroes. Charles Gray (the film), Graham Jarvis (the Roxy cast) and Christopher Lee (the London revival) spoke the end with "And on it's face, some tiny insects called the human race " part. Usually Brad sings it in the background. Tim Curry sure didn't let the stroke affect his singing. I'm sure he can't belt it out anymore but his softer tones are still there.

Shock Treatment was not, in fact, intended to be a sequel. Richard O'brien himself admitted as much. He said it was supposed to be an "Equal." There WERE, however, many plans for a sequel, though they never materialized, unfortunately. All Things Lost had a video on those if you want to watch it

I'm sorry to say that Tim has deteriorated quite a bit since this was filmed. I met him at a convention last summer and he can barely speak now. He can only move one hand. But, he welcomes hugs from his fans. He's the only interesting thing about this abortion of a film. Enough with the terrible remakes!!

Jonny Tolley I think it depends how tired he is to be honest. I’ve seen him at about 5 cons now and every experience is different. One day he is too tired to talk and the next he is quite chatty. A stroke can have this affect unfortunately. He is an awesome human being and he amazes me every time I’ve met him 👌

For me, Tim Curry stays the only original in certain productions, no matter how hard they tried to replace him. He is the only Frank that counts as he is the only Pennywise I want to remember! Hollywood should stop copying great productions (and keep on making them worse) and find some fresh stories! Here they butchered the whole idea of the character and in IT - part whatever they slaughtered the whole book.

Here's what I don't like about this: it's too polished. Too clean. The beauty of Rocky Horror is that grimy nature. It's a parody/tribute to b-movies from the 50s and 60s. It's supposed to look like your budget was 10$ and a roll of duct tape. This looks like a Rocky-themed high-end photoshoot for Vogue. And the actors are winking to the audience like "We know you love this bit" instead of taking it seriously. Satire doesn't work when you're trying to play for a laugh.
