I just took my first visit to Ikea in Connecticut. We were one of the many shopping for a dorm room. My oldest heads off to college in a few weeks! It is an overwhelming store. But we did get some great deals on a few things. Fun to watch your experience there!

Ikea is wonderful, if not exhausting. I love how they pretty much have everything you need, all in one place. Oh, and that hand crank beater! What's awesome about that is that the bottom is open, so food won't get stuck on the blades, like they do when they're closed! What you guys need now is a little deep fryer for your cheeseburger eggrolls!

Oh that was such a funny vlog guys! IKEA are also getting set for their new catalogue launch which is why a lot of the displays were unfinished and had the tape around them. I am like Jen I love a trip there. I did manage once to get in and out in 20 mins to just pick up one thing but it is a mission as you still have to navigate around the whole marketplace! Jen wait until you get into watching IKEA hack videos! You could also paint any chest to match your bedroom furniture

We were in Florida for the first two weeks of June and it rained all the time! It was funny to us that the local news kept talking about the drought conditions. Being from Arizona, we thought it was cute. Your videos helped make our trip amazing!

Well done with Ikea, we got one in the UK in 1987 and we went there. When we lived in Spain we went to Ikea in Murcia. Believe me when I say, having looked at yours, they are all the same but do sell some different things as to which country you live in. Whenever we go, we end up buying lots of things we never knew we wanted. They are definitely good at marketing.

I'm with Jenn I don't go out much. I love going in Ikea looking around and saying we should get this and that. Plus on a hot day its a good place to go relax around on the sofa or in the food area and beat the heat.

How funny you have got the desk and filing cabinet and chair that I recommended and that I have got which I mentioned in the last vlog when you were looking for the desk. The desk and cabinet still look brand new and i bought them in Ikea in UK in 2000 and chair I bought 3 years ago all the same as what you chose! They really are good quality and last a long time!

I'm with you on Ikea tim. Every time we go it's only for one thing. And it's never something near the entrance of the store and we have to walk through the full place to get something

The trick with ikea (UK) is to pick what you want online, make sure it's available at your local store, and if so, sneak in the exit and go straight to the aisle where it is stored and then straight to the checkout. This will save at least 5 hours of misery.

LOL i bought a desk at ikea YESTERDAY! I got the MICKE corner desk. It's smaller but im a college student so a TAD budgeted lol and im using my exercise ball as a chair.. Just to save some more money. I'm not the biggest fan of ikea.. but they had the best selection of desks for a decent prices imo! Hope you enjoy yours like i am mine!

I used to work at IKEA, It was never ending product and it's worse at night when you have to restock and walk around a never ending store with products from all different departments that people just left in random places. Also back to school is definitely one of the worst times to go.

I've been saving up for my 2018 orlando trip for over 1 and a half year now. But due to all the construction going on at WDW and Starwars land possibly opening in 2019. After years of practice, we have IKEA down to a fine art. Work out the quietest time to go, then use that as the browse time and buy if you wish. But from then on, no need to both go, check the website, check the stock and where it's located in your store. Then one of you go there, go through the pay til , it's not really an entrance, but you miss out the whole store, get the stuff you need from the shelves and pay. Normally done in 20-30mins depending on queues. Then get the hell out of dodge. Once home, only one of you assembles, unless they ask for help. No is that classed as a pro tip?

IKEA is furniture that's meant for people who tend to live in apartments and frequently move. It's meant to be easily disassembled and moved. There's nothing wrong with the furniture being upside down when you're assembling it. That's the way many pieces of furniture are meant to be assembled. It makes it easier.
