@Tony Black Like I said comments from bitter ex-wives who cheat don't count. She was the only one saying that because she was trying to get more money during the divorce and wanted to rationalize her cheating. Duncan should've avoided the cave woman but maybe options are limited at Wake Forest i dunno.

But it wasn't a personal laugh - and that ref got fined and suspended over the UNJUSTIFIED tech he called. I think it was Joey Crawford - who was a VERY "tech happy" ref before that event, but it was a catalyst for him to straighten his act up and turn into a very good ref after that.

His 1st step to the rim was lightning fast & the fact that he had handles made him even more of a problem to defend. Then once he got to the rim he could dunk explosively-he could go up for a layup & reverse it to the other side if defenders tried to block him-he could hang in the air like NO OTHER drawing a double team then pass it off to a teammate for an easy bucket. Now keep in mind that I’m just talking bout his inside game lol!!!

To be fair, Duncan never came across as a guy who bought into the pomp and circumstance of sports. He wasn't disrespectful, but he also wasn't someone who was easily excited and usually kept his thoughts to himself. Even after his last game against Kobe (both retired in 2016), he really wasn't very emotional about never playing against him again. The dude didn't grow up in the US, so he just didn't have the reverence that most did when talking about MJ.

Yup... watching him play all throughout his career, ....the man was otherworldly... mesmerizing to watch.... LIGHTNING QUICK EXPLOSIVE, & you'd swear he could defy gravity (he'd go UP, then defenders went up....then back down while he's hanging, then gets shot off after everyone else grounded....& those huge mitts of his...allowed him to throw all types of deception at the defense, but maintain perfect control....in fact, Phil Jackson once said that it was exactly that, MJ's huge hands that he felt was the main difference between MJ & Kobe...the ball-fakes, control, just gave him an edge other comparable players didn't have. Now, I was born in Jerry West's, LAL's 1st title yr ('72) & became a LAL fan in Magic's rookie szn ('80) & KB24 was the one plyr who's ENTIRE career I had most access to, therefore followed most closely ..saw EVERY MOMENT of EVERY game....Kobe IS & WILL ALWAYS BE MY GUY/MY personal favorite....& Bring... NOBODY like him EVER, those physical attributes, that combination of size, strength, power, speed, athleticism, vision.... it's like the man was genetically engineered to be THE BEST at EVERY sport.....but, make no mistake, IMHO, MJ the GOAT....but give me Bron & KB lined up with him on my ALL-TIME squad...(Magic & Kareem, too).👍🏼

That Spurs team was loaded with talent! The reason the Spurs had the first pick was because David Robinson was out for the season in 96. Spurs were awful without the Admiral. Spurs end up with the worst record, earn the #1 pick, and pick Duncan to set up the twin Towers. Robinson comes back healthy for Duncan's rookie season and they immediately were top tier team. Robinson was still an incredible player, Sean Elliot, Chuck Person, Ginoboli, Avery Johnson and Vinny Del Negro were all legit talents. Plus grumpy Pop my zit as coach! With those two towers defending the rim and destroying the boards plus killing it down low on the offensive side, the Spurs were as good as it gets. Michael was the only offensive weapon the Bulls had and still that Spurs team had no answers for him.

@@richb1653 I won't say poor shooting. But I do agree that the higher scores are from more 3pt attempts versus points in the paint. Most offenses back then were built off of big men who dominated in the paint and kicked it out to the 3 pt line as alternate offensive option on the play. Also, half court sets that ran up the shot clock was more prevalent then, opposed to now where teams are averaging more possessions because they are shooting quicker in the shot clock, all started by D'Antoni's 7-second offense. However, SAS could lock down even the teams with sharp shooters.

1st, excellent narration. 2nd, TD was creating his own path to greatness...we all as humans define greatness in our own way. Very macho to take shots like that to a person who literally transformed the game by his electrifying gameplay. He simply just wasn’t as impressed as we were. And 3rd, TD, even though is fundamentally sound in basketball, wouldn’t have won a title against Black Cat. A person that is as vengeful as MJ...(insert MJ laugh sound bite here)💯🔥

Manufan909 1 yeah...if ur a Jordan aficionado like myself...you’d know. There are plenty of vids with that reference. I don’t know if you saw the documentary on Jordan entitled “The Last Dance”. Reggie Miller refers to him in that manner because his prowess and agility.

Idk man, the bulls had no interior defense and the Spurs had the twin towers in 99. I think that if the bulls had stayed together in 99 it would have been an incredibly tough series. The bulls were getting old and the spurs were young, I think it would have been a 7 game series at least for the bulls to win, otherwise I would have my money on the spurs

Tim Duncan was a psychology major at Wake Forest and graduated with honors. His thesis paper titled "Blowhards, Snobs and Narcissists: Interpersonal Reactions to Excessive Egotism." Is a good read and you can understand where he’s coming from. It’s his personality, he’s turned off by egos and narcissism

Not only that, micheal jordan is high functioning anti social personality disorder, yet unlike jon jones, his entire legacy is unwavered and very well constructed aside from the few who know about his past with gambling, micheal is what jon jones couldve been, and tim duncan is the only INTP in the NBA whom thinks abstract and relates to the world rather then someone whom is grounded in reality trying to thinj abstract, his psychological awareness clearly spots out micheal jordans sociopathy and he withdraws and dislikes, its a form of defense against narcissism called selective mutism, in which someone whom calls a sociopath out will only be initating a game whilist being mute and disliking them doesnt initiate any interaction yet lets them know they cant charm the person in selective mutism, Tim Duncan is the True Goat and the arguement for that is Kobe and Shaq, Tim won more and kinda stole from Micheal jordans later career as he couldnt get a 7th ring, tim duncan wouldve had 10 if not for kobe and shaq breakin the offense.
