Tim Ferriss's emphasis on slowing down to foster productivity is a timely reminder in our fast-paced world. It's impressive how timeless principles from "The 4-Hour Work Week" continue to apply, even as technology evolves. 🕒

I was about 30 min and unable to finish. He is a bright + brilliant man! I see why he has success, but I wasn’t able to understand any of his points or how it relates to the topic of the episode

Great video, many good tips here. I think Tim’s requirements of qualities in a partner are well thought out but they’re going to be pretty difficult to find in a 20 year old (it doesn’t match up) Many of these qualities come with experience and maturity, which means being quite a bit older than 20. I also think a 20 year old would find someone who is 46 old (for a partner) unless she is looking for a father figure or is attracted by his money and relative fame. I doubt Tim would want someone to be with him for those reasons - I could be wrong about that.

28 to 33 year old range is not the same as a 20 year old.

The laundry list of requirements to be accomplished by age 30 (and the expectation of putting career development on hold when having kids) is a great example of the never ending pressure on women in this society :/

The $100MM goal got Tim to perk up. I bet he was thinking “you probably don’t need that much money to be secure or to be doing what you want to be doing.” #4HWW

Tim is an interesting guy and his basic premise has always been be as lazy as you can by maximizing your efforts in less time. Nothing wrong with that. But like so many of these guys he's likable despite having a huge ego and that always ages badly. He is so uncool now and probably has no idea of that. So many male influencers talk about what losers they were (including Scott Galloway) and how that drove their success. But even with all that money we are still who we are and true humility (or lack thereof) is pretty easy to spot. One of the things I like about Galloway (which you don't see much of here) is that he is always admitting when he doesn't have an answer.

Giving my biggest LOL to Tim: - ‘going through the volatility with a girl friend rather than the husband’ so let the girl friend to do the IVF injection for Erika. lol! So isn’t having a child and going through IVF the business of the couple (Erika and her husband)?! Making the men’s life so easy by diverting all the responsibility on Erika and her girl friend?! What about the relationship between Erika and her girl friend?! This relationship can be equally important for Erika as her marriage in this modern day I believe. Bad advice. Don’t listen to him on that. Go through IVF emotional roller coaster with whoever else also want that child - I.e. your husband!

Exactly! Bad advice on that! Potentially marriage damaging advice.

He's describing a mature, accomplished, rich, hot young woman (they exist!), who also wants to support an almost-50-year-old man with his family wishes and career... which seems like an unlikely scenario.

He’s got some good things to say and his business advice is great! But he is kinda creeping me out. He’s trying too hard to impress Erika and bragging too much and yet it seems as if he did no preparation for this interview. I liked his books and expected more professionalism from him. I would have had difficulty lasting through this interview if I was her. 😬 Okay wow! He is coming off as a tad narcissistic, not much love and empathy for a future wife who might need fertility help. It would be so hurtful and frankly damaging to the marriage if my partner didn’t WANT to experience it with me. If they asked to be apart, they might get what they asked for and be apart forever because I’d be out of that marriage. Newsflash Tim, when you love someone, you actually WANT to be there for them, especially when they’re going through a rough time. Wild horses wouldn’t be able to keep me away from my partner if they were going through that.

Prepare for what? He's a genius. If anything, Erica is the one who needed to be prepared and be extremely grateful that he would even take time to talk with a completely nobody - comparatively.

I am 90% confident that he did this show for free for Erika because Erica has a great female database that suits his needs of finding a female partner but a point that he made about IVF shows his true colours in the time of difficulties faced by a woman. He just ruined his dating reputation by making that IVF hormonal girlfriend injection point.

Ferriss is a bit of a narcissist; you can see he's always in his head and it's all about himself. He wants a relationship and brings a huge list of things that his partner needs. Unsurprisingly, he didn't mention much about the important things in a good relationship (empathy, communication, patience, compromise), they were instead superficial vanity metrics (age, looks, status, money).

Didn’t take long to find double standards in the comments 😂isn’t it weird every time a guy mentions having some standards, some women immediately get triggered. But the hell that breaks lose once they find out the guy they just met doesn’t make six figures right?

Her attorney will have to make sure that their prenuptial agreement is fair to her. Otherwise, she could end up empty-handed after years of servicing, submitting, and childbearing, if the marriage ends.

Mate, this may be online but bit rude no? He's a person with a certain set of tastes (for reasons that he stated), we've all only seen him talk for an hour and a half in an interview - not irl - so he may also not be sharing certain things online. If you don't like him that's fine, that's your taste, doesn't mean you gotta be rude to people you don't know - just keep it to yourself.
