On October 20th 2021, we made our first Grand Illusions live broadcast! It was part of a summer school organised by Aurora College in New South Wales for about 300 young students living in rural and remote parts of Australia.
It has taken us a while to get around to it, but here at last is the video that we broadcast on that day.
There is a picture of the studio set-up over on the Community Tab, in case you are interested.
We were using an ATEM Mini Pro as the video and audio mixing desk, which can also stream directly to KZbin.
Tim explores a whole range of his science toys, and we also had some video inserts that had been previously recorded.
Our videos are normally between 5 and 10 minutes long, so to do a one hour show live was quite exciting!

This channel is one of the few that has retained the late 2000s-early 2010s youtube and internet fun and innocence. And I love that!

What an absolute treat this video is! I remember being astounded when the 20+ minute candles video dropped on Christmas Day about seven years ago. An hour of toy demonstrations though is such a joy, I bet the children were thrilled! Thank you for keeping Tim’s toy collection alive Grand Illusions team.

Okay. I've finally sat down & watched the whole 1 hour video & wow there was a lot of material to cover. I didn't know Tim has been around so long & some of those novelties were so cool that I'm considering trying to find some for my own collection. To the people who run this channel, than you for uploading this content over the years. I'm glad I can use these videos to unwind after a stressful day as they're so relaxing to watch. Greetings from Germany. The postcard you assumed was from Hamburg, is actually from Bremen another big city famous for it's harbour. If you look at the picture the printing directly under it says "Gruß aus Bremen." meaning "Greetings from Bremen.". It's written in "Fraktur" an old german style of writing which didn't spread to the rest of Europe.

I was amazed when you produced the dinosaur slide, i bought one for about a fiver on ebay and had an eulers disk which i gave away as presents. However, could you possibly explain how those "Magic Number Cards", work. You know the one , is your number on this card? Then you add up the corner numbers on the selected cards and tell your chosen number. Still confounds me, how does it work?
