Listening to the loons on the lake is so relaxing and beautiful to hear.

Thank you. It’s my favourite part of the video, other than the otters, and I am extremely proud of it because it’s a bit difficult to do solo. thank you for the great comment. Cheers!

Tim river / lake is one of our favourites too!! Sure miss that park. Thank you for bringing us along so we could share. Also - phenomenal (piano) music choice after your otter impression (haha) was perfect with your beautiful shots of you in the canoe.

Thank you so much Bryon. It is so good to hear from you and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I’m also glad you enjoyed my choice of music. It is always one of the hardest parts of creating a video Imo. Hope you’re both well. Cheers!

Great site & man that was awesome moon. That Gatorade bottle is getting lots of use 🤪! Just loved the snorting otters and your impressions 😂. The next morning was epic Algonquin, great mist, sun, music & you canoeing ❤. Great shots this video, plus the moon shadows ❤. Great work, thanks 👏🏻

@CamperChristina... really like your down to earth videos and the fact that you are not focused on promoting products like so camping channel types are doing .... I seldom waste time, by watching those channels. Cool shadow pics. ... I have always worn a toque when in my sleeping bag, summer, winter or fall. One more thing, beavers on some occasions have actually attacked when approached too closely. Would not want an enraged beaver in my canoe. ✌
@CamperChristina2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the comment and the kind words. On my very first backcountry camping trip in 2001, I actually had an incident with a beaver and I am extremely cautious around them because of it. They are not very friendly creatures and I often tease about how they are one of Canada‘s iconic animals like geese, who are also very angry nasty creatures. Cheers

Sea gulls can be quite aggressive too if you get too close to the young ones.

Your campsite looks very familiar. When overnight camping was closed, a friend & myself paddled the Tim River to Tim Lake, had lunch & hammock time on that site before paddling back out.

@CamperChristina2 жыл бұрын
Hahaha. Thank you so much. I had one when I was doing a day paddle at the massasauga and I would snort at it and it would snort back at me. I think my imitation has gotten much worse though. Lol. Cheers

@@CamperChristina LoL, I've been known to scare some creatures off with my "hello, nice to see you" impersonation of various backcountry wildlife. My heart is in the right place but ...they just shake their heads 🤦
@winnguyen4432 жыл бұрын
Your so right about the wildlife in that part of Algonquin. Great to hear it’s still like that. It’s been 30 years since I’ve been on Tim Lake! Solo canoeists have always been my hero’s. I’ve never done a trip solo. Maybe it’s still not too late for me! LOL.
@CamperChristina2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like it might be time for you to be your own hero. My suggestion would be to go somewhere very simple where you have cell service and are familiar with the area. If I can assist in any way, please feel free to send me a DM. Cheers

Awesome video Christina, just loved the otters! And that's so freaky with the squirrel swimming to the island, I never knew they did this! And what's even more bizarre is Jason Eke just posted a video a few days before you, in which a chipmunk swam past in front of him, what a crazy coincidence!! Sorry I've slacked off on commenting, I know how important that is for the KZbin algorithm, but we've started watching your videos through the Apple TV device on our TV in the Livingroom lately, so we can't like and comment there. But I'll try my best to remember to do so later on my computer. Cheers!

Could I ask you if that was a map of Algonquin printed on a fabric? Was it a shirt a blanket? And where can I buy one like it? You have a great channel. 6:10

I’m so sorry but I have no idea what you’re referring to. I definitely do not have a map of Algonquin printed on fabric and would have no idea where to get one. Sorry.
