@99.9%ofHumanMalesareWhores I was raised by military parents so my out look on the world is diverse due to the lifestyle of living in different places and exsperincing different cultures but i spent my late childhood in a more rural area. I am American so was MLK and rosa parks and many other activists that wanted to change their country for the better not disown it. I respect all individuals opinions of what they identify as but it's hard to say that I'm not an American yet I live and benefit from many of their freedoms and policies and in living in such a country you are definitely able to leave and get citizenship in other places if you aren't satisfied

Edjuana Ross...Racism and Hate, in general, have no place in the world today although it is still very much alive. I love how these artists are able to come together and make something that is so beautiful and colorless just like this song as well as Brett Young and Boyz II men when they did "in case you didn't know" and several other songs. I'm a 48-year-old white man from Georgia so I'm sure that I will never see an end to racism in my lifetime but I have big hopes for future generations.

@Edjuana : I know it can be hard but ignore the ignorant folks. This song, the duet, the mutual respect...it was beautiful. The majority of folks are good people, don't let the news or rumor stop you from believing that. Find something in common and talk. The world needs more real communication, break bread together, have a drink, get to know each other's kids, crossovers like this. It may not be a final end of this bullshit and hate, but it's a start and will open the way too understanding . Have a great day:)

@Eric Burkheimer some people were saying that he shouldn't try to tap into country music and to "keep hip hop out of country". People were getting sticks up their asses and making assumptions about the collaboration.

@@desertrat5543 people saying that shit gets old. Blanco didnt change the basic tune of the song, he didnt autotune in, he didnt remix it in any way he only covered it with his own vocal flair. Artists cover and/or remix other artists all the time. Country music of today has evolved from the country of Willie, Waylon, Hank, Chris, Johnny & Keith days to todays stuff and it happens with EVERY genre. Rap and hip hop of 25yrs ago is not the rap & hip hop you hear today. The whiners need to evolve to get out of 1919 and evolve to 2019. And no, I am not ignorant and don't say I don't understand bc I do! Those OG classic country names I listed are some of my favs.....but they are right alongside Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Brett Young, Chris Young, Kane Brown, etc; my mood at the time defines which I listen to. People need to get over it already, lawd!!

Brandi K don’t you get tired of turning on the country station and hearing some weird wannabe pop song? There are some new “pop country” songs that I do enjoy but I miss the way country was, where I they talked about real life, not about trying to see how far you can get in a truck with some girl and stuff like that. Where’d my steel guitar and my fiddle go? Where did songs like this go where they really meant something? What happened to everything that made country, country? Wasn’t that better than what is considered “country” today? If you ask me, I think ole Hank would be a little disappointed with what he heard when he turned on the country station.

I love that country has become more mainstream and open to work with other “outside the country” genre, its bringing genres together, in-turn bringing people together. I love it!!

The downside is that it helped kill traditional country music. The genre has mixed so much with other genres that it has become something else completely. "Country music" is nothing but a marketing label these days. That's yet another consequence of commercialization. IMO, many country artists seem insecure. Nobody wants to be seen as "too country" these days. That's actually been the case for at least two decades, but it keeps getting progressively worse.

This song still brings me to tears every time I hear it. 10⭐️⭐️ Seriusly, I’m a 6’3” 260 lb country boy that doesn’t cry for anything. However being a dad and loving my beautiful woman, it touches me deeply. Hell, I was learning this on guitar, and I’ve yet to be able to finish the first few bars without tearing up. Amazing story telling. Don’t worry Friday night, I’ll be crying on the karaoke stage at the local watering hole and be proud of every drop that runs down my cheek. Thank you Tim. And Blanco what a way to grab the reigns brother. Nice job!

I'm laying here grinning from ear to ear...I'm loving it...! I got tickled at when Blanco added those notes to the "ENDING" OF A LYRIC & YOUR REACTION WAS PRICELESS KNOWING WHAT YOU JUST HEARD...!! You were like a proud father....this song is your baby...you created it from a LONG TIME AGO(early 80's folks) & see a much younger generation who altered...adding to it & sounded amazing....! Up in our Yrs....when you meet the younger ones who take what you worked so hard for..for it not to be wasted....& they cradled it...Gifted it Back. I know what that feels like, Tim...!! I'm the 1st Woman to be a Roustabout FOREMAN in the History of American Oil & Gas-Oilfields in the Texas Panhandled. I've worked with ice cycles hanging off my hard hat, having to wear gloves just to handle the tools & pipes b'cuz the sun is cooking everything to nearly molten metal. A job where I learned the saying, "there's 24hrs in a day & then there is the night". Before the oilfields I rebuilt the section of Phillips 66 Refinery in Borger Texas after it had blown up. Same working scenario...I was a pipe & iron welder, but quickly became an Industrial Electrician. I've been thru explosions, fires, etc...I've saved co-workers & protected them...my crews. There wasn't a job that any of the men on my crews would not follow Me into no matter the level of danger it threatened. About 6yrs ago...I was shooting some pool one mid-day afternoon....taking a break at the bar...sipping my water when a young man took the empty chair next to Me. He looked about 23. He shared that he was a pipe inspector technician, etc. His job was to inspect all oil & gas pipelines, etc in the oilfields & sometimes in Refineries(I live in Western Okla. on I-40 an hour from Texas State Line) & he tells me some of the locations he's worked....yeup inspected my work. I shared my stories what we did what we sacrificed..what all we went thru...created the "foundations"...it's now up to the younger generations to take care of it. His response & reaction...he blessed Me so much & honored the men & women I worked with. He will help take care of what we accomplished...he understood....just like what I'm seeing w/You & Blanco. This coming together of an older & younger generation(s)...this right here...Unites Us. While I'm grinning from ear to ear....I got those feel good tears welling up...& loving that I got to witness this. I know every generation that sees this will break down any barriers that have &/or threatened to make sub-level people out of Us Sisters & Brothers. Crossing the barriers is like watching a full on Miracle...one much needed especially in 2021. This is Video Is Legendary...it needs to be in Country Music Hall of Fame...Rap Music Hall of Fame....Black History Museums & other Museums telling the story when there was a fierce fence between our races. This is HEALING, TIM..N BLANCO & anyone watching it that is suffering because of prejudices this will feel like Sanctuary to them... there is sanity. Know what I mean...? I didn't mean to go into such a post...it's just what I saw & heard...it created this incredible feeling w/in Me...like My Chest was blowing up...it was something to behold. Like back when I was in Medicine becoming a Dr...seeing when these big miracles happen that ppl coming back from places that just doesn't happen..I never wanted to be any where else do anything else but Medicine. I wanted as much of this as I could get...nothing like it...!! I had 2 more yrs to go & I would have had My Doctorates in Radiology & Gastro-Enterology when a fatal tumor revealed itself...& totally altered my life. 100% disabled. I know what I just witnessed...so humbled, grateful...standing in awe of. Thank You Tim for putting this on YT so people can enjoy your music....get to know you...not being selfish as some are who want to force ppl to buy their albums by god they ain't gonna listen nor watch my stuff for free. Cantecikiya...pronounced Chawn tay cee kee yah....Lakota for..."My Heart Is Inspired By You"
