Easily one of the most overlooked and underrated pianists of all time, in any genre! I'd love to see him do a classical piece! Genius!

3:38 i wish i could play the piano so skillfully that you look like you just slapping the piano
@sersmiles16357 жыл бұрын
Scary to watch how fast skilled pianists can play so quickly and manage to sound great still, It can look like them just hitting a piano but has purpose May just be me but I'm fascinated

My goal is to get to the same kind of level as Tim, although its hard and not going to happen its still amazing to see someone play while smacking their hands on the keys

I love seeing clips of pre-2010 Tim 😊😊 when his main focus was musical comedy ❤️❤️

the piano solo in inflatable you is genius. I cant get over the fact that he's playing the wrong notes and still making it work
@dayleclarke44332 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a standard jazz solo to me...
@stuartberesford3585 Жыл бұрын
Jazz solos are so often tonally ambiguous that identifying a wrong note is borderline impossible

I love Tim Minchin.

I think it takes a lot of skill to purposefully play badly for comic effect and then bring it back to blow your mind. (Inflatable you)

Absolutely dying at 1:30. Rips out a lame solo, tries to make eye contact, misses a note then does it a bunch of times so we know it's intentional. Absolute genius. EDIT: changed 'to make it look intentional' to 'so we know it's intentional' to avoid confusion.
@lazarus_zeldachannel91502 жыл бұрын
Maybe you have only seen him play this song once, so you might now know that the mistakes were completely intentional, he does that every time he plays Inflatable you, he even counts under his breath like a new player would...All part of the act.

@talperetz6874 жыл бұрын
Seems like whoever put this comp together is really overly impressed with playing fast - all that takes is practice. You want to see Tim do something impressive, watch him improvise harmonies to his own words, while keeping a walking bassline, in the middle of "Mitsubishi Colt." That is musicianship of a whole different level.
@guerinchino3 жыл бұрын
Both are extremely impressive
@stuartberesford3585 Жыл бұрын
You seriously think those harmonies are improvised ? 😒
