I love how he described the difference between science & religion. Truthful & accurate.

I was fortunate to see Tim Minchin live many years ago, I am now fortunate to enjoy these performances again with you. It's like sitting with a friend sharing the same perspective on life and appreciation for the awesome intellect of Tim Minchin. Great reaction video👋👋👋

Tim tells his story so vividly and with such genius, we can all appreciate the situation he finds himself in when found in the company of someone like 'Storm'. The difficulty in not only writing a 9 minute poem but faultlessly reciting it live, without a hitch, demonstrates the seemingly limitless talent of Tim Minchin. Love his work.

You need to react to "Thank you God" it's hardly been reacted to online. For me it's genius, musically, vocally, comedic, memory. It's well worth watching at least.

Honestly if you need someone to react to a vitriolic assessment of life you should assess your life. There in lies the irony.

@@joesephkroll2056 So what are you doing on a reaction video then?

I love thank you god but I believe it tends to be the only Tim song that gets blocked quite often. There has been plenty of reactions but they don’t last long

My favourite of Tim's, great anecdote!

Tim Minchin. "If I didn't have you" very clever. 😆

Yes!! It’s one of my favorites! I would recommend he do “Tim Minchin - If I didn’t have you - full uncut version” which has the if I didn’t have you song and then follows it up with stand up about his wife’s sense of humor / it’s amazing!!!

I met Tim after a gig years back when he first performed storm. I told him I loved the poem and that that was me. He said "who? Storm?" Anyway he said in real life he wouldn't actually go on like that, and that he would be a lot more diplomatic. So now you know ☺
@IceMetalPunk2 жыл бұрын
Regardless of how diplomatic he'd be, everything he said in this poem was accurate

As I was watching your response, towards the end while you were kind of feeling bad for Storm, I was reminded of a quote by H.L. Mencken. "There comes a time when a man must spit on his hands, hoist the black flag and begin slitting throats." It felt appropriate somehow. lol

Great reaction! Sadly it wasn't a real dinner party, though he took bits and pieces from experiences from his past.

You should check out "the lament of a 3 toed sloth" or "lust". Not many people know it, but one of my favs from Tim.

He's not a bad actor either, if you ever get the chance, look up 'Upright'; its a tv show he produced and starred in.

Oh we have all been there, trying desperately to keep your mouth shut to try and be polite while someone is flapping their jaws on some rubbish. How many of us would just love to let it fly with such eloquent rapid fire.
@randallflagg68623 жыл бұрын
see, that's the problem, with people like _Storm_ (and most of us know, there's plenty of people like her) - it doesn't matter that most of us don't go around trying to convince everyone else their superstitions and beliefs in the supernatural are not only wrong, but pointless, since those ideas cannot be proven. there's a *Storm* in every crowd, who feels obliged to force their ideas upon us, whether we want to hear it, or not - they don't bother asking, and they _certainly_ have no clue that we don't want to hear it. these people misconstrue the right to *have* an opinion, with _expressing_ that opinion
