Nascar just not exciting anymore

I love everyone that claims Nascar was so much better back in the day. So I was there in the 80's and 90's and sorry to break this to you but most times 1 guy would run away with the race, 1 guy would run away with the championship, and it was boring for the most part. With the stage races, playoffs, nascar is way more exciting than it used to be.

You are right about the season standings. It was dull and playoffs were non existant. I will say NASCAR unfortunately took the fun away though today vs back then. Bristol loved seeing drivers get out of their cars and throw their helmets and now NASCAR would fine the driver if that happened.

heavily disagree, if they got away with the season they earned that, its much more exciting to see a natural final 4 standings and makes for better moments when stuff goes wrong. Look at f1, it has a huge problem with one person just dominating and yet f1 is the most popular form of motorsports on the planet. Look around, every single race series has a regular seasons points championship. Nascar has all of this artificial drama and still had low viewership this year at pheonix.
