There's a really fun practical joke you can play if you have an opaque screw-top salt shaker, if the person you are pranking's food can be easily replaced. you pour into the shaker a little bit of vinegar, and then lay across the top of the shaker a paper napkin, on which you place a little baking soda. You then screw the top on and rip off the visible paper excess. When it is inverted, the vinegar soaks through the paper, meets the baking soda, and erupts surprisingly.
