Somewhere Else + The Oath (Season 2 Ep.9) | Vinland Saga (OST) by Yutaka Yamada

"Vinland Saga Season 2" has been one of the anime that I've been most satisfied with in a while, and the execution of Thorfinn's journey has been incredible from start to finish. The anime has delivered a ton of emotions and amazing character development, but the show for me truly peaked at Episode 9, "Oath", which marks a turning point for Thorfinn from many aspects.
The anime used for the climax of the episode "Somewhere Else" from the first season and the new soundtrack "The Oath", which masterfully reprises the theme from "The Real Warrior", one of my favourites works from Yutaka Yamada. The combination of these two tracks is a powerful delivery of music and emotions, definitely appropriate for the impact of the scene in the overall story and a true highlist from the entire anime so far.

I read your video description, I agree this was a turning point for Thorfinn. I love what Askeladd said to him "You don't want to fall down here again, do you? Then let them hang onto you and climb up. Climb up! That is your battle. Go! Take those people you killed with you and fight your true battle. Become a true warrior, Thorfinn!" I love Vinland Saga, it means a lot to me, the only reason I started watching this series was because of @ImonSnow I love what she said about this scene. "This is the gospel. This is the truth. This is the good word." For anyone reading this who doesn't know who Imon Snow is, I'll tell you a little bit about her. She does reaction videos to Movies and TV Shows, but her channel is so much more than that. She really cares about people and about what she does, she cares for the story, for the characters and the message the story is trying to tell us. At the end of her videos she shares her thoughts and takes the time to talk about things. I really love how much she feels for the characters, the way she connects to the story, the way she feels and experiences all of it. She's really beautiful, in every sense of the word.

That’s what thorfinn thought too. But he found a reason to keep living. Wait for that. I’m waiting for that too. This song represents the journey from that pit of despair to that oath of life. Watch episode 9 from season 2 over and over again until you find that.
