I was down there in 2000 and took a 2 week class from Mestre Kinge on Candomble and Samba Reggae. I am not familiar with the Surdo patterns here as it is not Samba Reggae. The Timbal and repiniques are good though.

Hi Michael, thanks for another great video ! Question : I've heard this Timbalada rhythm, but with the 3rd surdo part starting on 3 instead of 1.. What's going on here ? Is it just two variations of the same rhythm, or did the band screw it up ? Cheers
