I was wondering how you were going to do those doors...looking forward to see how well you are able to get them sealed . My shop has a large single slider so I'm hoping to get some ideas. From what I can tell, Zippy couldn't be in a better place.

I can totally relate to this video. (1) unexpected "things" WILL happen. Once upon a time, I was working on some modifications to my trailer. During this "activity", I took all necessary safety precautions (I thought) to begin my welding. During the process, I heard a LOUD boom followed my some instant pain. Evidently, I neglected one small item ... I FORGOT to move my mini propane torch from the area! Sparks from the welding melted through the thin aluminum tank on the torch. That thing blew the head right towards my hip/thigh area. Thank goodness I had my welding apron on! Otherwise I would have had some serious damage done. (2) Family comes 1st! Family consist of ALL living creatures (cats, dogs, HORSES, etc) in and around the household. After a few months of various "issues" of my own, I am just now getting to go back and start watching all of my missed videos on my followed channels in addition to getting back to piddling around in my shop. I really enjoyed this vid and LOVE how the building turned out! You did an awesome job! AND ... I am happy that Skippy is ok! Out of all the channels that I'm following, this one is my favorite. Sooner or later I will be caught up on your vids. Keep up the good work and drone footage.

The barn looks amazing! like it's been there for a long time. fits in on the land perfectly. might add some larger C channel for the door guides to except wide strips of 16th inch steel both on the inside and exterior to protect the door bottoms from the guide scarring up the wood and general wear- like a kick plate.

Great Plains Craftsman You're very welcome. fixed my typo there. I mentioned sealing the hold down L-brackets for your uprights a while back via (heat sink and quenching in oil). I didn't know if you had tried that. blacksmiths use this method all the time. beats painting and adds to the aged solid look your obtaining here for sure. anyhow sure the same method can be done with the guides. you might want to let the exterior kick plate match the rust look you have in the skirting tho. ...if you go that route. best of luck - always a treat to see what's going on with your ventures and projects 👍🏼

Great video, you learned that polyester and grinders do not do well together, same goes with spandex and welders. 😩 It is too bad Zippy is going through some problems, hope they can be resolved. Safety for all comes first, it’s tough. Going out the wall then up with the chimney will work with triple wall pipe. Good luck to you and your family. Thanks for sharing with us.

Get the right height specifications so you don’t have a wind problem from your roof, and good bottom clean out and it’ll work good for you.

ir·reg·u·lar /əˈreɡyələr/ Note: this is a symptom of something called "oldtimer's disease" (NOT to be confused with Alzheimer's). I can speak freely of this because I am of extremely advanced age, have experienced it with increasing frequency since the onset of "middle-age" (whatever that is), and have become recently enraged from time to time when it has embarrassed me in front of thousands of people (for example: appearing on KZbin). Another symptom is the "tip of the tongue" syndrome and another is when crossing a threshold into a space seeking some object or to perform some task, one's mind suddenly becomes blank. I am sorry to tell you there is no cure. Oh, that little fire? It must be a symptom exclusive to firefighters... ;-)
