Please put your PO box in the description. So glad you rescued the German Shepard. She looks like she was used for major breeding and then tossed out when she couldn't breed anymore. I will never understand how people can just throw their animals away when they are no longer any use to them. Breaks my heart. Anyway you guys are the best!! We bought a Litter Robot almost 2 years ago, and LOVE IT! With 5 cats here (all feral orphan kitten rescues), I was cleaning multiple litter boxes twice a day. It's just the price of having cats, and they're loving sweet animals despite rough beginnings. I still kept one regular litter box for the 16-year old cat and for the younger blind cat. The Litter Robot needs to be emptied twice weekly - just slide out the waste drawer, pull out the plastic bag full of you-know-what, add a new bag and - voila! Done! I don't think I could go back to scooping all those regular litter boxes twice a day. For sure, the cost made me wince BUT a Litter Robot uses at least HALF of the litter a regular litter box uses. Save on litter, save on the weight of used litter disposal, NO scooping. p.s. I tried Litter Maid, and the ones using crystals - Litter Robot is 1000% times better!

Just watching Pounce makes me happy, he just wants to jump around , he is like the class clown. It was great to see Timber, love the letters you read. So happy to see December got rescued. You've got the BEST career in the whole wide world. I wanted to either be a vet or any other career that saved/helped animals but was laughed at by everyone I told ....even by my teachers. Back when I was in school being a 'horse doctor' wasn't even considered a real job. No one in my family even understood what being a vet entailed and didn't care to find out.

Little goats can be house-trained, at least for peeing. Little Eris was - but she was exiled back to the goat pen when she discovered my bookshelf. :)

@@DrBrennan One had a spine cover chewed on - I caught her in time. Sorry girl, but that's a salad bar you don't get to pick from. Big southwestern Hispanic family with a passel of little girls bought that family of goats - the girls got to carry Eris on their laps in the back seat of the SUV they drove with their livestock trailer in tow. I warned the parents that they were absolutely going to be sneaking her into the house, and to make sure they moved their books up a few shelves because it was inevitable. :)

I have a question about distemper. I adopted my 2 year old dog from a shelter and just found out he has it. (We’re seeing our vet but you may have more experience since you deal with shelter dogs more.) He seems to have turned a corner and is more alert and eating. So I don't know exactly where you are at, but if you need help finding a good owner for Imagination, Snake Discovery has a facility in Minnesota that includes an adoption island where they give "second hand" reptiles and amphibians a chance to be adopted. They might attract some more reptile lovers than you. They also have all the facilities and experience to give her the best care possible. Might be something to consider.

I have a litter robot, and have bought two over the years (left one with a roommate when I moved.) It is definitely pricey, but so worth it! It uses any clumping litter your cat likes, you can use just about any trash bag in the catch tray, and it is super easy to set up and maintain. Plus the good warranty means that you don't have to worry if it breaks a few months after purchase, but I have had zero issues, it is pretty sturdy. I got the 3.0, which also lets you connect to an app to keep track of kitty bathroom habits, so that if there is a sudden uptick or reduction you can get them to a vet.

Im glad you guys are able to save sick dogs that get dropped off at the pound. Not everyone who has to take their pet to the pound is a bad person. My wife had an older dog when we first met and he got really sick and he was losing bowel control. We had little to no money, no one would give us credit or loan, and the vet place didn't want to take it on or give us a break on the price of putting him down, so our only choice was to surrender him to the pound. Vet care isn't like human care where if you go to the ER and have a crazy high bill they just put you on their tab basically
