Halfway through, the music is oddly fitting. Ominous, inspiring, peaceful, tedious, I don't know the right words, but it seems to encapsulate the feel of this massive, overly ambitious project that distroies and replaces it's surroundings. No more is the land naturally beautiful. It is semetric, ridged, clean, and mechanically perfect. I do these nonsensical rants at night a lot. Good night.

This is done on the experimental version of the game, they added Golems and Excavators for the purpose of placing dirt. Hopefully these features will soon be made available on the standard branch of the game. If you want to try them out, you can switch to the Experimental version on the Beta tab on your Steam game properties.

How do you make a timelapse while also building in Timberborn?
@Barthak2 жыл бұрын
Basically with this pattern: 1. Wait for stockpiles of construction resources to be (re)filled (log piles & warehouses). 2. Design & place down the next part of the build; unpause previously paused construction work. 3. Pick a camera position for recording 4. Hide the GUI (CTRL+H) 5. Record for 4-6 minutes or until resources are depleted (whichever comes first) 6. Pause any incomplete construction 7. Return to step 1. In post, I speed up every clip and combine them + putting music in it.

Ok, but where da lidos, mud baths, etc?
@Barthak2 жыл бұрын
The lidos are at the t-junction of the waterwheels =] Mudbaths are the only form of leisure that is not added to the build.
@OsamaBinLooney2 жыл бұрын
wait, where did all the water behind the dam come from at the end? is that a mod?
@Barthak2 жыл бұрын
Every map has water sources, if you close of the borders of the map, it will slowly fill up the map. (in hard mode this wont work, as the droughts evaporate the water faster than it can fill up during temperate seasons). Check out the save file if you are curious =]
@smnrst2 жыл бұрын
if the water level drops to the height of one lock, will it stop flowing into the city?
@smnrst2 жыл бұрын
I tried to do something similar and ran into this problem
@Barthak2 жыл бұрын
yeah so, the triple floodgates on the top are set to a 2.5 height, if the water level drops more than 2.5 blocks, there indeed will be no water flowing into the city. Builds like this will not work on hardmode and on normal mode they can be difficult depending on the strength of the water sources in order to catch up during temperate season. I played this on a custom difficulty tho, so that problem doesn't really happen here. Its more of a showcase build than a survival challenge =]
@Metalichap6 ай бұрын
Looks nice, but why put 80% of the map under water instead of making the dam closer to the soucre?

Hoooow did this only take 50 hours??

The biggest reason it didn't take longer is because of the custom difficulty, so less long droughts help a lot.

@rustythecrown93172 жыл бұрын
On super easy , no drought mode?. Or the equivalent of creative in Minecraft?.
@Barthak2 жыл бұрын
Custom difficulty, long temperate seasons and short droughts as this was more about the build and not so much about the survival part. You can see a few droughts happening throughout the timelapse (and sequential floodings that come after) =]

There are a few droughts that you can see throughout the timelapse. However, as the description states, this was done on a custom difficulty so they were shorter and farther in between; this video was about the build and not about the survival part of the game =]
