I have had a pair of Timberlands similar to these since 2008 and just tossed them away. I never waterproofed them after original purchase and the waterproofing lasted about 10 years. My favorite boots by far for the price.

I wore these while as an Amazon Prime driver as they are comfortable, durable for the price, and have an excellent amount of tread in them to walk on rough terrain like gravel roads. I personally recommend them just be sure to put in some quality insoles and waterproof the boots with oil if possible.

Just got these yesterday from Amazon. Paid about $90 for them. So far so good. Waterproofing works well & for the most part they're comfortable. They're light as well. I like the look too; mine are black. Can't wait to take these on a long trek.

Thanks for the review! I am debating on whether to get these shoes or not. Primarily for use in the winter and snow days. Do you recommend these for use in the snow based on your usage?
@BootSpy
@BootSpy 3 жыл бұрын
I think they're a good fit for winter. They're waterproof, have solid grip, and are pretty well insulated. I really think it comes down to how much hiking you'll be doing. If you're planning on 4 or 5 winter hikes, these are great.

I just bought a 9W in Mt Maddsen. Wonder why you keep saying no wide sizes? And I have WIDE feet. However the design of Timberlands seems to be narrow. I use 8.5W in Caterpillars at work.

Great review! Always been a hiking shoe guy. If they get drenched how long do they take to dry out?
@BootSpy
@BootSpy 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! And I think if these were caught underwater, they'd take 24 hours to dry out. But it's really just the tongue. If you walk through a river, they're mostly waterproof so you won't get the tongue wet really

Hi! This was a great review! I was wondering if you'd recommend this boot for a college student up north. I need something that will be comfortable and warm to wear for walking around campus in and out of buildings and waiting at bus-stops in both warm and very cold weather (like both 25C and -15C). Will these work well?

i personally think these pairs are not very comfortable especially the support is weak and very easy to get fatigue, and you need to get half or one size down so highly recommend to try it out before purchase.

Just checked, these ones in Amazon Germany cost €178. (!!??) Quite a strong pass for such a price. Some great hiking boots from other brands here (e.g. Lowa) cost less than that.

So lets say I go on weekly hikes but nothing crazy, usually the most I go is around 12 miles (thats an upper average) and I probably usually do more around like 8 or 9 mile hikes. Would you recommend these for that? I am pretty broke so I am trying not to go more expensive haha
@BootSpy
@BootSpy 3 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I would step up to a Danner if you're hiking that often. You may be broke, but you'll end up saving money in the long run. Danners will pay for themselves in a year.

You are WRONG about the width. Just purchashed a pair yesterday in WIDE WIDTH size 15. They also had 12, 11 1/2, 11 & 10 in WIDE WIDTH. So if any of you use wide width, YES you can easily get a pair in your size. Happy hiking!

Look like a very light duty boot. Timberland lost quality , unglue sole, lace eyes broke. Just look the Amazon reviews. White ledge, Cordura, and the other two models of Timberland breaking down . Timberland right now is only "Look" & old stories. Timberland 15 yrs ago was quality. In 1985 I buy a TopSider ($130) shoes and last up to 2002 using Timberland mink oil cream. Now Timberland don't have that Quality.
