So good to see that you've been able to recover so many of these timbers after all of the horrible flooding you had to go through the last few days. Keep up the positivity and keep moving forward!

I am excited to watch this project. What a challenge. Love the little ones…you are making memories.

Nice delivery! Can't wait till the building starts. Love the family footage. Enjoy it....they grow up so fast. Seems like mine were that little a couple years ago, but I have one with 2 kids, one finishing college and the youngest graduating from highschool in 4 months. Crazy!

I'm excited to see the progress and it's not even my house. Love watching the kids playing while you work. Great stuff.

thanks for the tip about anchor seal. I have always used paint with mixed results. I just picked up a quart to try out!

Love the moment the wood arrives for any project. Never mind a big project

I like to sticker my lumber about one to two inches from the ends. It really helps reduce the length of checking and splitting

Aww man, I can't wait for the actual building of the house! It will be epic!!!!

Going to be an amazing project, I think you made the right choice with getting timber from the saw mill as it will save you a massive amount of time which you can spend on the house itself. So nice to see the kids playing in the background while you're doing your work!

My 2 favorite things - lumber and tractors! Thanks for this!

Looks very exciting. I have always found that having a weight on the back of the tractor makes tasks like that safer, and it is supposedly better for the tractor as well.

Oh geez, you mean really build it and not erect a pre-fab timber frame! I know you’re a master woodworker, and look forward to seeing your joinery.

I gotta ask. Why a crawlspace? Why not basement?
@ThirdCoastCraftsman10 ай бұрын
Because of the flood plain. I can go deep enough for a full basement

@@ThirdCoastCraftsman Ahh...gotcha. That makes sense. Water is evil to houses, especially if it comes from below (cue Jaws theme). REALLY enjoying this series. Thanks for sharing!

Where did you get the one hand saw at? Think it might be called a window saw (American) would be the timber saw.

If your home is going to be HUGE perhaps you will consider adopting another child or two. There are some really good kids out there in need of caring parents. 👍👍👍
