Seeing the little man steer the tractor took me back more than 50 years.. My Grandfather taught me to steer his Massey Ferguson tractor when I was a lad.

Chris, it makes me feel so good inside to see you and your son doing things together this way. Not only will he possibly follow in your footsteps in woodworking, but he will be inspired to pass this down to his kids as well. What a great legacy to leave behind. God bless you and your family. ❤

A man, his son, and their tools. I'm blessed to still occasionally work with my son at age 70. I believe we both appreciate the many times we worked together. A tradition becoming more rare unfortunately in this modern age.

Awesome sawmill. As a father myself, I know you are a proud poppa with how into all of this and helpful your son is. This video brought a huge smile to my face. Great way to start the day.

Great filler video in the series! Love seeing the father son relationship. That is so important and lost these days. Good to see dad work hard, but even better to also get in there and help. Had me grinning ear to ear seeing him steer the John D and sporting some leather work gloves!

I'm coming dad! The way he said it is pure blessing and pride for any father. Maybe you didn't notice it at that moment, but that moment is indescribable :) great upbringing.. letting him drive a tractor.. a ride that you would have finished in a minute and with him in 5.. but that's not 4 minutes wasted... that's really blessed time..He will remember these things

Hi from Alberta, Canada. Although, I am originally from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada...where we have many timbers just waiting for the sawmill. I want to congratulate your boy for helping with the project...as it's great to see a young man providing a helping hand as what was common in the days of old...Cheers!

First thing I ever drove was a Ford 8N tractor sitting on my grandfathers lap. Never forgot and your son will never forget. I have an old Ford tractor today and it's name is Henry T after my grandfather, love that old tractor just like I did him. You are doing right by your son.

Sweet mill! Debarking and ideally pressure washing the logs will keep your blades sharp a lot longer. Love the content, keep it comin!

You have a great helper! I have the same mill.its a beast first thing I added was a 12v water valve and tied it to the clutch switch to automate water feed . Second addition was a tarp motor for back and fourth feeding. Game changer for ease of use. And yes the clamps suck!

Love it. Finn is a great little helper. If he loves going into the woods searching for "treasures" you should look at getting him a metal detector. Recon he would love it. With all those bottles being found there is also be old coins and possibly some lost jewelry in those woods as well.
