I think this game would benefit from a heavier ball. I think most of the reason you don’t see much interest in pro kickball is because pitcher rules the game basically. No one in primary schools(elementary-highschool) really could get good at bouncing the ball to make it go high and make easy outs and most can agree that if it goes in a high arc, because of the bounce, easy out if you can catch. I think increasing the thickness by even a little will add weight to the ball, make it go further, and make it more exciting. All I see right now are bunts, high arcs, and the occasional dropped ball that can make one player get to a base before the rest of their players get out. Just my 2 cents.

Because in professional leagues a big kick is a near certain out because the defensive team will catch the ball. Bunting is a better strategy.

I've never seen an adult kickball game before. We were thinking about getting into a tourney so I was going to study up a bit. Why do they bunt every time?!?! That's terrible. If that's the best strategy, they have to make a rule where there is a white line that curves in front of the pitchers rubber and you have to kick it in the air past that line, or something like that.

My guess is nobody can kick the ball well enough so they only try to bunt. The first time a team scored in the game was from a nice kick into the outfield.

Because at the highest levels of kickball if you kick it hard it’s almost guaranteed an out. You have to be strategic about how you kick. You kick big once you have runners on as a sac fly or you can kick a booper just beyond the rushing infield and outfield.

too much people for that small amount of space, and they are pitching way too close to the kicking area. It is nearly impossible to get a good kick on a bouncing curve ball from 20 ft away
