Granted everyone has a right to change their mind but if I look at your review from 2 years ago on the Timbuk2 Authority backpack and this review of the Division model I noticed the change of opinion. You loved the 3 stage sternum strap arrangement on the Authority and hated the same arrangement on the Division. You loved the gusseted front zipper compartment on the Authority but hated the same on the Division and now favor a clamshell arrangement. Personally, I'm looking for a backpack the size of the Division or Authority but really want a trolley sleeve/strap and don't want to spend $200...can you please make some recommendations?

I was so close to buying this for school, but now I’m glad I watched your video because I don’t think it’ll be right for me. Thank you for this review! Will definitely be binging some of your other videos to find one! 😁

I'm going back & forth between 2 backpacks. Do you have a review video for the Mous 25L Backpack? I'd love to see your thoughts & a thorough review of it.

Perhaps start with dimensions, including Liters/capacity? &/or in the description (unless I missed it? ) thx! The look kind of reminds me of a cabin zero.

I have this backpack, its runs kinda small at around 22 liters. Big enough to be a school bag where its some documents and a laptop.

Ignoring price difference, is this backpack, the Authority deluxe or the Aer City Pack better? My use case would be for a laptop and some paper documents, chargers, like an EDC for college/university

I'm 90% sure I'll be getting one of these for EDC use, and I'll be customizing it since what I want done is pretty low-hanging fruit for quality of life: adding a top slash pouch big enough for my awkward Oakley sunglasses case between the carry handle and main compartment zipper, and possibly moving the compression strap anchors inside of the main compartment zipper. I may end up preferring the compression straps where they are as they'll allow the lid to function like a half-zip. I've also asked the nice Timbuk2 man if they can be paid to add a second water bottle pouch on the other side. I'm exploring ways to suspend the laptop a bit better from the bottom of the laptop section but I'll need the bag in hand to know what I can do. I think with that I'd have my perfect EDC pack.

I find your complaints about the compression straps odd. I would think they add them where they do to provide structure support for the zipper to help keep it closed and reduce zipper failure when the bag is well full

But you have to open them EVERY time you open the main zipper compartment. It’s extremely annoying

Any other backpack(s) with a similar style and form factor you would recommend instead?

Does the straps and bottom rub and stain clothes? Thats a common issue I get with bags.

do you happen to know if the water bottle pocket would fit a 26 oz Yeti rambler bottle ?

How much shorter does the backpack get when you cinch it down? It's 3cm too long for Canadian flights

Excellent review! Thank you! I would never buy this backpack for myself because of the design decisions they made

If the front pocket had a zipper on its side like the Parkside bag, it would've been awesome.

I think name brands need to realize the lower end competitors are raising the stakes and they need to be more attentive to detail and not assume their label alone is going to sell their products.

I don't get those straps. I would cut them off. And no quick access pocket? I like two.
