I have just swapped the engine on my 1986 944. I have used original Porsche motor mounts. I am glad I did. Thank you!

I have the shiny silver ones which came with my '86 951 and always questioned why the car idles so rough. Now I am pretty sure this is the answer, thanks to you.

A rough idle could be other things, but the mounts should be able to handle a lot of the bad vibes.

Just sold a pair of USED mounts that were still in great shape. I plan on speaking with the MEYLE rep at the big gathering of shop owners/ parts suppliers.

and I just installed some of these Myle mounts on my Turbo. Had them laying around for 3yrs and said might as well. First thing I noticed was that they suck at isolating vibration on cold starts. Almost as bad as my worn Porsche mounts. Oh well, we'll see how long they last.

​@@ComeauRacingEnterprises Stupidly, I've just replaced a leaking myle (3-4 years old) with a new myle !!! The other mount is still a Porsche OEM 1997 dated mount which is not leaking and I've measured it and is still absolutely sound and solid. The newish myle had collapsed somewhat. I've got to buy OEM mounts in future.

For someone that wants to make their 944 a fun street/track car would you recommend still going with Oem motor mounts or something like the Lindsey adjustable ultra mounts?
