Some songs come into our lives and touch us in ways we can't even begin to imagine. They become extensions of our beings. This is truly that song for me. So many times it has helped me pull my head out of my ass and realize what this world has to offer is on me and if I want a piece I have to move on and quit Killing Time ....

An extension of our lifes if we stop & remember. Way back when this song with these words, the sound and the feelings presented at the time, really has stayed with me. I knew it then, but I actually forgot. Its been years even decades, since this song became a huge part of me that stretched at the time I heard it....and now continues to be a huge part of . ..... . The me that I saw way back then. Man, this song... You just know it in your very bones, heart, & soul.... when you know. Keep focus on the real. 💯 You'll know when its yours. No B.S, just straight from God's heart, to yours. Do you see me........... T I m e 🌎🌓🕧⏳🌌

All my life God spoke to me through music I am a singer and didn't even know how much of one but singing is just something I do it's not who or all I am but definitely God was speaking to me through this music Kansas a few others. I became a Christian at 21 and Idk much of Rik Emits story but Kery Livegreen was searching for God and wrote most of Kansas music. I think the same Is with Rik BTW I saw triumph in 1983 one of the best I've ever seen.

I found the entire THUNDER 7 album in 1984 when I was recovering from a catastrophic Traumatic Brain Injury, TBI, from surviving being shot twice in the head. This is music magic that helped me rebuild my life. This year, 2024, is my 40th Anniversary of Triumphing over Tragedy. Thanks to 3 Canadians who I've lived the lyrics of TRIUMPH Albums. Never Surrender, Follow Your Heart, and so many more. Music helped me rewire my brain, spirit, and soul. I'm still here and I thank TRIUMPH for being an instrumental part of me rebuilding my life after crawling back from the brink of Death, the Reaper gave me a hall pass, I'm still here, Time after Time.

I want to point out a few things about these two beautiful songs: 1. Who are the 13 morons who gave it a thumbs down? Explain yourselves.... 2. At 1:34, if that doesn't give you pure ecstasy, you are dead inside. 3. Ever notice that there is not a traditional Rik lead in both songs? 4. Rik's voice is off the charts 5. Many people don't realize Rik & Gil trade off vocals.

19. Tone dead and soulless. Immature. Even at 13 in 1980 I knew this song was epic.

Thunder Seven was my first exposure to the band, thanks to Philly's 94 WYSP. It remains my favorite Triumph album, even though I know most people prefer their earlier work. From Spellbound to Follow Your Heart to Time Goes By and, of course, the masterpiece that is Time Canon/Killing Time - I just love it!

Stranger in a strange land is a killer tune also. Along with midsummer's daydream and little boy blues. The whole album rocks!! Triumphs " magnum opus" in my humble opinion.

Killing Time: Hanging out on the corner He's got no place to go She sits in an empty bedroom Playing the radio Everyday regretting All the things never tried Every day they're dyin' Just a little bit more inside All the lonely people Waiting all their lives They're empty and they're aching You can see it in their eyes Time is slipping away It's just passing them by And they're wondering why but it's gone Gone forever my friend And it won't come again So don't try to pretend you feel fine Killing time, killing time, oh You feel it's now or never But the words don't seem to come The fabric of your dreams Starts to come undone You realize it's over Before it has begun You're reaching for something special But that someone never comes You're on your own now But you're living out a lie This killing time is wasting you I can see it in your eyes Time is slipping away It's just passing them by You're wondering why but it's gone Gone forever my friend And it won't come again So don't try to pretend you feel fine Killing time, killing time The time we waste on hate Full of anger and jealousy The times we act so cruel All the times you turned on me All those lonely yesterdays When we were killing time I needed you more than ever Couldn't you see it in my eyes? Time was slipping away Passing us by, now I could cry 'cause it's gone Gone forever my friend and it won't come again It's moved on and left us behind Time is slipping away It's just passing them by They're wondering why but it's gone Gone forever my friend And it won't come again So don't try to pretend you feel fine Killing time, killing time, time
