Go for kawasaki oem brake pads. Ebc is also good but it will eat the disc rotors.

Hmmm, yes, I have heard that. I'll keep an eye on those rotors, see what happens and report back. Thanks for reminding me.

Gr8 vid, mark. Were the rear brake pads changed also? I normally change the rear (whether needed or not) when I changed my front pads. In addition, i also change the fluids as well, when changing brake pads. However, I may not change the rotors. Anyway, ride safe, god bless u.

Thank you. Just the front pads changed. Rear pads have loads of use left in them and the fluids were not changed. Definitely will do that next time around.

What is the thickness of material on the EBCs?
@bikerevz2 жыл бұрын
Good question Dave, I think they are 3.5mm but it's not a very accurate measurement and I can't find any information to tell me. What I really need is an experienced engineer to help, if only I knew one..........

It is unnecessary to remove the caliper to remove the brake pads! Just unscrew the pin, remove the clip and they come right out. This is the reason you service provider probably didn’t need to charge you for pad replacement since you were paying them already for regular service visit.

It's a good point and I can't really remember why I took the whole caliper off but you are absolutely correct. I'll simply remove the pin and clip next time. Thanks.

It's always worth removing the caliper and cleaning around the pistons with brake cleaner, a toothbrush and a rag. Only adds another 5 minutes to the job (each side).

Might as well keep the pads, you’ll need them in another 8k

In 8,000 miles, it is due another service. I might keep these in case they wear quicker and because I'm too lazy to sell them 😂
