I'm pretty sure it was the butterfly effect going on, since she shot at and presumably killed a caveman, she effectively killed off the ancestor to a ton of people, including herself

The disintegration death is pretty graphics considering the rest of death scenes are very comedic.

Or if not comedic, they cut away before she actually dies. I noticed several where she was about to be eaten, or on the brink of suffering some sort of similarly imminent demise, only for it to cut away without actually showing you the whole thing.

There was a video game magazine I had that had a very tiny "advertisement" for a supposed upcoming game with the name "Tales of Fantasy" or somesuch, and featured two tiny screenshots that were apparently strategic stills from this game's death scenes. Ah, good ol' Time Gal. I skipped buying this when it was brand new because I didn't have the money. I want to say it was either a Saturn or Dreamcast port(?) Maybe Sega CD? It looked like another Dragon's Lair style game and I wanted something that wouldn't last barely an hour for almost $100 with import fees, etc.
