One thing I have realized this year is that while no one should live beyond their means...no one should live below their means either. We should all live AT our means. When we resolve to live at our means then we free ourselves from a misery mentality and allow ourselves t o experience life to the fullest. At the end of the day you can't take your money with you.

@SinWillFindYouOut Жыл бұрын
Although I do understand what you are saying, and you have a point, you should live below your means. What do you do if you are living at your means and now you lose your job, get sick, get injured, get into an accident or get into a thousand other things? If your neck is just above the water, you will drown. Also if you are living right at your means how can you have any extra to give to someone in need? Living right at your means is a bad decision. Live below your means so you can weather a storm better, and you can give to people who need it.
@smilyle Жыл бұрын
@SinWillFindYouOut I used to think like this. And I realized that I shortchanged myself in dating and in opportunities in life trying to always think about how I can save money instead of how I can maximize the utility of what my money can buy and contribute when I could have afforded it and still had enough left over for a rainy day. When I talk about living at your means, it includes putting aside a reasonable amount for savings. My mother had a poverty mentality that she always stressed, trying to save as much as possible under every circumstance. And you can not live an abundant life with that mentality. You attract abundance when you create abundance, and after a certain point, it's easier I figure out how to make more money than it is to save more money.

I agree with the equation that time is infinitely greater than money, however once we make the money to “buy” back our time you pay another to do things that, take up your time? We must use the time given to us wisely. Can we “buy” back our time. Very rich people outsource the simplicity of life, to buy time doing what? Making more money… this life will never be perfect. Only what we do for Christ will last. ❤ Love God, and love others as you love yourself 💕

@@IAMUNUAMI However, let me also add that in the context of this conversation "time" is relative to how we work in the material world. The concept of past, present and future was created to help us make sense and add perspective to this material world. It helps to provide order. Too, past, present and future all occur at the ...same time. I could add more, but that is not what we are really discussing here...
@markharris2798 Жыл бұрын
@@stactionsmedia3318 ...well, if you were immortal time nor money would be a factor. The statement that was made earlier is that it is an illusion. i would say a perspective. You have heard the saying.."time flies when you are having fun". Meaning that in that "having fun state" you don't realize how fast time went bye...however, sometimes when you are doing something that may not like, for instance work or something mundane , it seems as though time is standing still...based on how we measure time and the instruments to do so... however, there is also a connection between distance(space) , time and speed. When you look at the stars at night you see their light or sparkle, but those stars are, in some cases, trillions of miles away and it took billions of years for the light to reach Earth, yet we can observe the light in our time. I won't say that Myron is wrong, but he is adding a different perspective. In essence he is just saying that you can pay someone to do jobs, chores for you, so you can take that time that you do not have to spend doing chores...etc to do something else with that time that you just paid for. That way you can mute-task within that time. I like your response as well...we all have our opinions. I have learned, over time, that everyone is entitled. Let's live in the perpetual now!
@neusikesho3438 Жыл бұрын
Money would absolutely be a factor if you were immortal. Immortality doesn’t mean you don’t feel pain and hunger. Money will allow you to do whatever you want with all that time. If not, then you’ll spend eternity feeling sick, sad, and homeless.

There’s nothing wrong with spending time trying to get the best value for money within reason. A penny saved is a penny earned. And we know how hard some folks must work to earn it. So don’t just give it away. Especially to those who make tithing a law and giving beyond means a moral virtue.

There is nothing wrong with maintaining what you own in fact I would think it makes me more knowledgeable and reliable for those around me. Its hard for us to understand this coming from a wealthy country. Those forklift drivers helped build this nation. I have worked a lot of those jobs that get no respect. I find it insulting the way you talked about the dedicated forklift driver. We could use more people with that kind of dedication. Its just to bad companies don't promote or support that kind of dedication now days. There are things in life you can only learn by taking time to do menial things. You don't seem to care about them but it really does help build character something this nation desperately needs.

And it’s cheaper. As far as cutting grass, definitely let someone else do that lol
