Time-Lapse from the Woodrow Wilson Bridge

Time-Lapse video shot from the Potomac River on the Maryland/Virginia state-line. The opening shot is Thanksgiving Day sunrise from the Lincoln Memorial. The second shot is really bad. The rest are pretty good. Enjoy.

The fireworks were a surprise. I was the only one in the group that had the notion to quickly set up and time-lapse them. I like that shot best.

The fact that the traffic was actually moving is the news story here. With the exception of at 3am -- I'm pretty sure the average speed for the Woodrow Wilson Bridge is between five and ten miles per hour. Absolutely outstanding footage! Almost all of this should be making you money on Getty.

That last bit behind bars was magnificent, absolutely gorgeous. and felt safe'ish. Hangin on a bridge with pro gear (and mandatory re-registration in the news) is scary stuff.

Every time I watch your videos I get the itch go get back on the trail. Living in north Florida I only get to the AT about 3-4 times a year ....your videos also make me want to learn about time lapse photography....amazing pix! I'm planning a trip in SNP in Late Jan as I have to get up there for business. Any reccs .. Prefer not to mess with shuttling but maybe a loop...3-4 nights

Thank you! Well the central district is my favorite. The AT is about the only trail I know thru the park. The park is long, but rather narrow. I just do turn arounds when I don't have a shuttle set up. Not ideal, but seems to work. Have a great hike!
