I still remember the first time i saw milkyway. I was around 11 and i never thought that we can see milkyway without a telescope!. It was at bromo btw. My dad wanna see the sunrise and we arrived at bromo at 4am and When im just get out of the car, i was speechless when i look at the sky. I cannot believe that i just saw a milkyway! Its probably the most beautifull things i've ever seen. I wanna capture that moment but all i have is just my ipod 5 and iphone 5s camera and didn't get anything :( it just so dark. I wish i can visit bromo again soon, i really missed that time..

I have not seen it in close to 20 years. The last I saw it was in an Indian village when the lights went out. The experience of seeing it stretching over the coconut palms was mind blowing. The fact that there was a half sized moon around spoiled things a bit, but overall the feeling I got was one of insignificance, humility and awe. Go out into the wild if you can and then, when you have made yourself safe and comfortable, put out all lights and prepare to be star struck.
