Mold and mildew is no match for vinegar. In this fascinating time lapse video you will see mold disappear in seconds -- which would normally take 2-3 days.

Brilliant - short, sharp and to the point. I've tried watching a lot of these video's and they are longer than needed and just ramble for 90% of it.

That always annoys me too. I just want the facts -- not a 20 minute video to find the one thing I need.

Vingear really is very remarkable stuff, it does all sorts of things. Did you know there's a very refreshing drink called "switchel" made with a little vinegar, a little honey and water? It's supposed to be good for aches and pains and such. It didn't affect mine but it's still very good on a very hot day. Cheers Tom.

Sounds interesting. I looked it up and apparently it is fairly popular. Not sure I'm ready to take the plunge but I just might have to give it a try. Thanks Mark.

I recently started using vinegar to get rid of green mold that was in my shed, it works great!

I just spray my siding with some bleach and I can see the algae and mold vanish in seconds. Always test a spot to ensure that the bleach doesn't affect whatever paint you might use on your house as a precaution.

Great idea. I buy cleaning vinegar which is also sold in stores just a bit stronger.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing this! I would like to ask you if you can do the same experiment using a UVC lamp? There's a lot of saying that UVC lamps are very effective to kill mold, but I haven't found any experiment like the one you did here. Again, thank you very much for sharing this experiment

Does anybody know if vinegar damages or weakens wood?
@pattybaptiste36013 жыл бұрын
Have you tried this on a wood deck? Mine is essentially non-treated wood because a preservative was applied the first couple of years after the deck was built but I haven't treated since. And would there be any harm if, after the mold is gone, the area be rinsed so lingering vinegar wouldn't damage the wood?
@AlleyPicked3 жыл бұрын
I don't have alot of experience with vinegar on the wood but I don't think it would damage it. After the mold is gone I think rinsing it would be a good idea. You could always test it first on a small sample.

Many videos use a squeeze pump sprayer. Use a gallon or two pump sprayer..

will the vinegar acid hurt wood slowly?
@AlleyPicked3 жыл бұрын
In this video, I used it on vinyl siding. Not wood. However, I think it would also work on wood safely.

Is there a specific vinegar that works best?
@AlleyPicked2 жыл бұрын
Just regular cheap white vinegar.

Will it work on decorative concrete edging that has black mold? Never thought of using vinegar. Thanks for the info.

I haven't tested every scenario but I bet it will work. Couldn't hurt.

Bleach works in 5 min. 2/3 bleach 1/3 water. Spey on.... Stand back and Watch. Then Rinse.

How about 75% vinegar?
@jimmytowzen50333 жыл бұрын
doesn't that damage the siding just leaving it on there?
@AlleyPicked3 жыл бұрын
Not on mine at all. If you are concerned, you can test it on a small area first.
