You are a master and a genius Scott. You are also a wonderful teacher. I love your energy and your humor. It is a pleasure to watch your videos and to see the astounding work you produce. The music in this video is also very appropriate and extremely beautiful. Thank you most sincerely Scott for sharing your ability with us mere mortals.

your painting Sir is other worldly, so refined. The white paper and drawing surrounding the face look like golden feathers of an angel. Yes the music transported me to another time.......

I'm just a passer by who knows nothing about paints or painting, but I would love to have one of your paintings on my wall. Spectacular and realistic, only better. BTW, the music you chose for this video, wow, I really felt as though I was sitting in on a master painter in the victorian age. Well done.

Super talented. I aspire to this level of expertise. The best portrait painter on KZbin. It still looks like a painting and does not look like a photograph.

I agree, genius, as a painter, I try to learn from your technique, realized I wasn't using rounds, got those, and other things you do when painting, trying to gleam in try the things you have taught on other vids. I appreciate that you share your talent with us mere mortals as well, thanks for sharing!

Do you work in a layered method, or alla prima? It seems like you mostly achieve your final result in one layer of paint.

A great great copy. You seem to have mastered the style, but i wonder why in your own paintings the figures seem rubbery or computerized versions. You should paint more like this in your own paintings.

nice to meet you! I was allowed to see the video. So I have a few questions. 1,Does the canvas use cloth canvas? 2. You apply paint evenly, but what kind of brush do you use and how do you use it to apply paint evenly? 3, What kind of oil do you use for paint? 4.Is the base painted on the canvas? I would appreciate it if you could answer me when you have time. Thank you very much.

Génial…vous êtes un génie du portrait. J’ai deux petites questions, mettez vous du médium dans votre peinture et pour les détails, quel est le # de pinceau que vous prenez.

The first layer is where he has gotten all his proportions down. Then I’m pretty sure he’s going wet on wet for the final rendering layer here.
