Quick recap! Tip #1 Don't limit yourself to a timetable, be fluid! Tip #2 Don't put little things on your to do list, if you're idle and can, do your task immediately Tip #3 Involve your friends for acountability Tip #4 Don't lose your time doing transitions Tip #5 You need focus and awareness, track your every action and see what messes up your time and energy. Learn from that The most important concept: MIGHT AS WELL! The magic phrase EDIT: It's been 10 days since I wrote this and you guys, these tips are literally GOLDEN. Aside from Amy's tips, I also recommend tracking how much time you spend on your phone, you'll actually automatically spend less time on it if you keep a close eye on it throughout your day.

@@MilaBulajic that was the gist of it I think yeah but I had kind of a hard time following what she meant when she said to take breaks in the middle of studying, while also saying that dinner for example is also a break in itself. So wouldn't that equal just more breaks? Idk if Im making sense or not but thank you anyways for replying:)

1. Be water - flexible study 2. Do the small stuff instantly To do list - larger and small separately 3. Turn tasks into event - have deadline before actual one , involve other people(group study) 4. Minimize transition time 5. You need more focus not more time - track your day And cut down the insignificant works 6. Actionable way of thinking- use traffic jams, bus ride, waiting for someone for your study 7. Remember your why * Try applying one time at a time

Hey Amy, I've been watching your vids for a while and one thing I want to say to you personally is, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Before I watched your vids I had this really confusing, hard and up-to-'standard' time table since my parents used to tell me. I used it, got good grades but I was stressed most of the time and I practically RELIED on it. Ever since i've watched your videos, I've stopped with that chaotic mess of a timetable, got amazing grades and even felt so much better. I've actually had time to do stuff I like, for example, drawing, singing and dancing. Out of every study youtuber I feel like you're the one who has helped me the most. Even the tips are absolutely amazing! Thanks again - Hyun, a year 10

Okay, I simply HAD to come back days after watching this and say that the "might as well" tip has literally changed my entire day. It doesn't totally help me get over the very worst tasks I procrastinate, but by telling myself this I have been more productive in the last three days of writing my dissertation than I have in MONTHS. I can't thank you enough. It's like so simple too that I can't believe I hadn't thought of it/done it before. :D
@GoroWren
@GoroWren Ай бұрын
I got you For the tasks you most procrastinate on while you're doing them find something to enjoy about it during the prcoess then make that your why/enjoyment for doing it Then overtime expand on what you like about it. You will end up enjoying either half, most, or all of the task. Which is much better than not enjoying it at all. Humans are hardwired to want to do the things we like. So the more stuff you can enjoy the more you'll do it, and the more fulfilled and happy you will be. Being happy is a byproduct of living a continously purposeful life. Purposefully being productive, purposefully having fun, purposefully taking breaks, purposefully enjoying life, purposefully being a goofball, etc etc. The more you enjoy something the more you'll want to do it. Also, the more you enjoy it the easier it is to get super focused in it because your want to do it and looking forward to it really gets ya in the zone faster Hope that helps. Screenshot/ Write this comment and save it somewhere where you will actually use it

Amy, I'm a very hard-working student, not the most naturally intelligent one in my medical school, so I really resonate with what you say about working hard to achieve your results rather than being born a genius. Your videos are of such high quality, honest, and genuinely helpful. You're the only study content creator that I still have the patience to follow. I’m so exhausted with those other content creators out there who replicate the same ideas, impose their techniques, and profit from our anxiety as students with their “you're doing it wrong” and “if you study like X, you're destined to fail.” You're easily the best one out there. Hope your channel reaches millions out there, you deserve it!!!

Hello Amy. I use youtube in private browser so that I just don't get anything interesting to watch before my exam. But yes I really feel like I wanted to comment. I love your work, your tips and all your videos. I will work on one tip at a time. 1) After I used your method of solving problems instead of going through textbook reading, I finished one huge module.I could say it would have easily taken me 3 months but this was done in a month. I was all tears today. Cried for 15 mins and started studying again 2) I will carry a small notebook with me until my exam. 3) I knew the importance of sleep so I don't compromise on that 4) My distraction has reduced significantly after one of your videos. I will come back on this comment and write that I passed the cfa level 2 exam. Loads of love and hugs to you darling. PS: dont bother about ppl who copy your ideas. you are already creating a lot of impact 😘 Edit: I used a digital planner in notion as you mentioned and holy f****. It is a real bomb. I am completing my topics very peacefully, I am stretching in between and my productivity has skyrocketed

Hi Amy, just wanted to drop in and say that you've changed my life altogether in the last two months (which was when I first saw your video on my recommended) and watched it without hesitation. It was a video about 'How to stop scrolling' and almost immediately after that video, I set time limits for my apps, deleted some of them and started working on my self. You are honestly one of the most helpful and amazing people I've seen on the internet so far that think in best interest of other people. I really do feel inspired by hearing your podcasts, watching your videos and understanding your experiences, and I want to help others too. Which is why I've shared your videos with friends of mine so that they can also benefit from the golden mindsets you offer. I really hope you grow this channel into a huge one soon so that we can all have more of your videos and content, so that we can live your best lives with you as our internet big sister. Loads of love, and keep doing what you're doing, Amy! Have a nice day (or night)!!! ♥♥♥

My life’s been crazy and I’ve never had to manage my time really my whole time has been “prescribed” whether it was school or work etc. Now I’m in a job where I fully control my own diary, everything is on me and my work efficiency affects people directly and could have a massive effect on their life. It’s such a hard adjustment and is difficult as I feel that I’m too old to be struggling with something which could potentially be seen as so small it’s very humbling. Not only this but a lot of people have been saying it sounds like I may have ADHD 😅😂 too many people self diagnose and use excuses though, it won’t change anything so time to put these tips to the test. Thanks so much!

Thank you for this video Amy! For me, I created a schedule divided into 20-minute sections to ensure that I do not get off-task when I have to study for 4+ hours for an upcoming exam. I also create a reflection document for each time sectiona and rate myself 1 - 10 in terms of productivity and then leave an explanation of why I gave myself that rating, and then list some things I can improve on to maximize my efficiency when studying. Optimization in my opinion is the best way to manage your time, and I think this video is great for encouraging us students to utilize our time in the most efficient manner! Thanks for the video :)

Yes, I can vouch that Amy is giving great advice in this video. I like to observe ultra successful people from all walks of like in all sorts of professions and I noticed they followed what Amy said in her tips -- e.g. fluid tasks that fill in the gaps between the marbles. "Fluid" tasks are those little tasks that you can do at any spare moment you find yourself in. The successful people I've met take advantage of all those gap timse to whittle those tasks down. e.g. Know which things are better off getting done immediately rather than putting them in your planner. (Just as Amy said, I've noticed successful people get a lot of those tasks completed immediately while fresh in their mind because if they put those tasks off until later, they might forget some things and that might waste time getting back into the mode of that task.)

A couple of things: 1. All of your tips resonated a lot with me, a middle aged mom with late-diagnosed ADHD! Wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of ADHDers found your reel and then this video and thought the same. 2. “Might as well” as a phrase removes friction and smoothes transitions, which ADHDers actually have a lot of problems with! And it gives us permission to be fluid (another great concept from your tips!) and not rigid. And most importantly, ARMY, 3. the slogan from the BTS LY:SY tour got me to hit that subscribe button! I'm 19 and 2nd year of uni and now it's not that I don't have time or not doing anything. it's just I am doing things and still don't know what to do or have a single plan. Most of the time just gets wasted cause the work doesn't align with the "goal"(cause the goal is not determined in this situation)😢😢

It's amazing how time management strategies like flexibility and minimizing transition times can transform productivity. I’ve tried the "might as well" approach, and it’s a game-changer! Whether it's using free moments to study or make progress, it really helps build momentum. It's like that constant flow of water-adjusting your schedule as things change makes all the difference. And hey, don’t forget-finding a balance is key! Even when you're juggling lots of commitments, moments of rest matter. Keep mastering your time! The Sense of Humor Improvement Program can also help lighten the load.

you are so intelligent , from your looks you seems like a normal person but in real you got your father genes due to which you are damn hardworking and i believe the way you express yourself is amazing and you could write a journal about you and your family , i donty lnow why you are having less subscribers maybe it is because we are your true fans . as i am a elder child of my family , i have nobody who can provide guidance but such a coincident god blessed me with your channel . from india lots of love .

This is so useful!!! Thank you for the tips!! Now that I think about it, I've been using these kinds of tips like the "might as well " tip subconciously. But then when my will is weak, I'll abandon those kind of principles. So I have a habit of being productive, then not, then productive again. This video actually put into words the mindset I'm trying to grab, and gives me more! Hahaha I actually am happy right now since watching this video makes me feel productive. In the past I've just been punishing myself internally for giving into my desires. So I just tell myself, if it's not productive, then it's not worth my time. My brain is like "NOOOOO LET ME READ FANFICTION WAHHHHHHHH!!!!!" But I think I should also view my rest time as productive, since it gives me more time to study (with a bit more structure) with going online. I learn about a fandom my new friends like so I can be better connected with them. Therefore, that is worth my time! I should follow this kind of thinking more. Not forcing myself, but encouraging myself. Thanks so much Amy!!

Since I'm already watching your videos, might as well continue watching more. 😂 But seriously that's a hole to not fall into, applying the might as well to every other aspect except for studying. I got caught in that and I'm trying to change. Good tips and love ur vids.
