But judging by the father, looks like the kid is nice too, sending him to the sharks is actually the best decision, cold and calculated is needed when the time comes.

Mark has every reason to be proud of his kid and what he did with his dad's legacy ! He unfortunately had cancer when the episode came was taped and i honestly don't know how it ended. But I'm kinda proud to sell the stuff because it's genuinely the strongest and most reliable piece product in it's category and is the first thing i recommend to anyone who asks. I folded a piece of their tape in the middle, made a 2×2 cm square and taped a frying pan to the ceiling. It took almost 3½ years to fall down, and the glue is so strong I'd never put in on anything that's not gonna stay there permanently. Wrong to this man it was leaving a successful company in hood hands to grow, he already is rich that’s why the Sharks invested, they invest in successful companies only , he sold 20% for 125k. Now his family has successful businessmen FINANCIALLY invested , so they use there resources to grow it bigger leaving everyone richer, especially the man and son with 80% still owning the majority of the company , smart man, he didn’t need the money he has a successful business/company he needed smart people invested financially so they care and his family is in good hands/ He didn’t sell his company but partnered with 5 of them for 20% and 125k deal that’s a no brainer when just leaving your company to a kid and have it fail or lose everything, guy’s looking years down the road which is what smart people that own businesses do. Evolve and grow. You can only take your company so far until you need connections and friends, which he did. Seen many companies fail after son takes over or you don’t partner up and give equity to grow , not always what you know but who you know. Great deal 5 sharks 20% for 125k. Evaluation means company worth 625k but then again don’t know the sales and maybe just sold 20% cheap so he has them to have there influence and connections to grow, I’ve seen Kevin give 250k for 5%, immediately making a company worth $5 million per the deal, so sometimes I see company manipulation, when sales and profits/ debts weren’t discussed as much; I know Kevin did it on purpose to raise the company evaluation/or it’s worth. Kevin’s smart businessman

I’m 37. My dad passed away about 3 and half years ago now. Was living with him and my mother for most of my life. After he passed my mother and I moved in with my sister. After almost 2 years there, my nephew had grown too big to keep sleeping in bed with his mom. So it was time for me to go out on my own. I was afraid, 30+ years of living with family makes you extremely dependent on them not only financially but emotionally. My point though, I’ve now been in my own apartment nearly a year. I only make a few dollars more than minimum wage but I work overtime. Sadly it’s necessary these days unless you’re among the few with good options. Regardless, it’s not so bad. Once you get used to it, the sense of independence is a great feeling. I only wish I had done it sooner for my father to have seen me making it on my own. If I can do it though, then believe me, you can do it too my friend.

He did not “sellout”. He PARTNERED with 5 sharks for 125k for 20%. They own 80% still majority partners , Sharks / partners will only help this company grow and keep the company earning since they’re invested they want maximum returns. Great deal great partnership for the company and family

Wrong that’s only how America works , in different countries in Europe they value time like the 13th month law , once a year you get a 1 month free paycheck, and you get more time off with family, in America you can’t stop the grind or fall too behind, taxes rising, debt, America is Capitalism chasing money, save money and go to a little poorer country with an established government you’ll see how your lifestyle will change and live like a king, in the states more you make more you pay or they take from you

You clearly don’t know this show. He Did NOT SELLOUT, he sold 20% for 125k, he still owns 80% of the company but gained successful investors that have connections that will grow the company larger, sharks only partner with successful companies that they can help grow, so Man is smart for leaving his family with better connections and sharks will help they want bigger returns , family will be good forever until they actually “sellout”. This is Partnering up with better more successful businessmen, that’s how you grow. And go to next level. Leaving family better positioned probably for next few generations until a dummy sells out , But learn your definitions , Sellout means selling your company or majority of it , which he did not . And fyi most companies have partners to be bigger, every partner brings value , connections to grow and keep making money come in kid , dumb comment
