There are many lessons for this solo on youtube, but most of them have a couple of wrong notes although they sound good. I think you nailed the studio version, great job. I subscribed, and you can count my subscriptions using one hand only. Thanks and I hope to see some more Floyd stuff from you

You are a master, this is the most detailed and slowed down (shows true knowledge) version I've seen. Love it, Gilomour would be proud!

I made this when I first learned it. I can play it a hundred times better now. I even thought about making a new one. Appreciate the comment. He really gets his whammy bar going this in a couple spots. I really just made this video so people can see the notes. It wasn't really a recreation video but yet a simple lesson video to wear the notes are. I play in a Pink Floyd tribute band called Brain Damage so I get lots of practice

@@ryanguitargodfrey I'll tell you this: if this was back in the days, and you're better now, congrats. I loved this. This solo captures the joy and sorrow of my life, it's a poem in sounds. I love how you go trough it in such detail and knowlegde, and also cover the rythm guitar. Do it again, with even higher fidelity if you feel you have it in you now. I'll be sue to follow. Love from Sweden.

Haha! As good as your rhythm vid. Always tricky to know when he’s doing hand vibrato or using the bar...cool you did it all with hands. Nice one bud!

Definitely a tricky one. I don't play this lead in my band and just learned it right before I made this video. I'm sure I could have used a couple of months of fine-tuning. Always a tough job to recreate his feel. I play most of the rhythm parts and I also play a Godin guitar synth. I get to do all of the saxophone solos on my Godin and become an extra keyboard when our guy doesn't have a fifth hand. 😎

Ryan Guitar Godfrey Agreed...trickier because of the overdubs...studied him a lot over the years and can now tell the difference on most of his solos...still a terrific job buddy.

I don't know about you, but all those bendings... they break my fingers. And I use 0.09 strings, maybe we should get a PRS, the guitar with the softest strings I've ever tried, but I don't like it aesthetically, I'm a classic Strat...

4 years later I can play this so much better than I could when I made this video lol. There's a lot of whammy bar and a lot more accents in it. The bends are one of the hardest parts about pulling him off. I use his custom Gilmore string setup on guitar I use for the tribute band that I play in which is not this big Apple Strat, and it makes a huge difference. The E is a 10 gauge but the B and the G are like a 12 and 16. They bend like butter. Keep at it man The Bends get better
