Great video, guys. I am sure I will have to go through one of the 4l60e's I have in both of trucks I have at some point. I love the dakota digital Guage's. I have a VHX for my 67 I am putting together. I can't wait to install it.

I was just thinking it had been a while since seeing a new video and hear it is! Your previous videos have been very helpful. I'm doing my first LS swap and my doner had a 2wd so I took the 4L60e spaceship apart to change the output shaft to a 4wd but had trouble getting it back together because of the teflon seals... tore one and kept folded over one while putting back together. I did get it together but would love to see any tricks you know in the reassembly video. I'm not finished w the LS swap so I don't know if I reassembled the 4L60e correctly at this point. Its installed with the engine and transfer case now so I'm working on wiring now :) Thanks for the video and looking forward to the next one. As always great job!

The last one of these we rebuilt, it was about 10 degrees outside and we had a terrible time with those teflon seals tearing. I think we ended up soaking them in warm water to get them on. Hope these go a little smoother! Thanks for tuning in, Jason!

That drum that you're talking about cracking around the center hole, GM actually makes those out of hardened metal now so they don't typically have that problem anymore. The older transmissions they apparently just used a non-hardened metal for some reason. Also, you may have did it off camera but did you also remove the big orange hard seal in the large opening of the case? The older transmissions they used to put a seal around the pump housing itself but on the newer stuff they switched to a hard seal around the opening of the case. Great video as usual. I hate transmissions with a passion but I still enjoyed the video.

I did not remove any of the seals yet. I thought the sun gears were stronger now but just not sure. That makes sense though. Thanks PJ We appreciate you watching.

Thanks for the video. You are wise to keep all old parts to compare with the new replacements. I see people throw old parts away all too often and then are left wondering if it's right. Do you feel it necessary to pull the main relief valve and converter relief valves out of the pump body? Nice job on the video.

If it had been dirtier inside I would take all of those valves out including the valve body and clean them. This one was cleaner than expected so I won't in this case. Doing the pump would be smart though seeing how getting it back out is not an easy task. I should try to mention that on assembly. Great question. Thank you
