great great vids :D would really love to see you follow one train through a whole operating session some time, but for now this series is very interesting and informative.

I believe they are all from a variety of Brass manufactures over the last 30 years. Most mechanisms have been updated or fine tuned then DCC and sound conversions.

The meet with 431 is a little different because (according to what they said in the video) the dispatcher issued a train order to make the meet there. If there is a meet order (there is no such thing as a "hard meet", just a meet) then the two trains have to meet there regardless of the schedule. If there had not been a meet set up then the superior train could have left on its time and the inferior train would have had to clear the schedule of the superior train.

Very well done video. I plan on watching everything you guys do. Bravo! I noticed your using berbecue squares, so does that mean you guys love to grill and make shish-kebabs ? LOL. I know Mike is very good at uncoupling railcars with the squares. Have a wonderful mothers day.

Interesting that freights are time table scheduled trains. Worked for the railroad for 32 years & only passenger trains were on the time table. All freights were Extra’s.

That''s the steam era without a time schedule there would be lots of accidents and some sensitive trains like fruit and veg meat products would be at risk.

So at the 15:45 mark in the video we have inferior train 431 meeting superior train 402 at Ellenburg. What would have happened if 402 arrived at Ellenburg to find that 431 wasn't there yet? Would 402 hold on the main waiting for 431 to arrive and take the siding? Or, since 402 is superior, would they assume that 431 was holding at the previous siding up the line and passed through Ellenburg anyway?

Great video! I have watched your several videos on the Canadian Northern several times and can't get enough. Have you thought of doing a video of a train just unning over the entire mainline so that we can see what the whole layout looks like? Also has a track plan ever been published?

I am not sure if there is a track plan. I have not seen one. An end to end video would be a great idea. Maybe in the future
