NOTE: I chose not to include 'Following' and 'Doodlebug' in this video. Mainly due to the difficulty of including them within the flow of this piece but also because of having a low quality DVD rip or KZbin rip alongside HD.

The music isn't mine. It was composed by Hans Zimmer for the film Inception (the piece is called 'Time'). Technically I am not even allowed to be using it, but in my case it is "fair use" over copyright.

This was great! Only problem I have is that you should have put a letterbox on The Dark Knight's IMAX scenes, so that those clips would fit in with the rest of the video. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this.
@SilentWarProductions11 жыл бұрын
I could never do that. I had that choice while editing, but it did not seem fair to start adjusting the image ratio or black barring. The IMAX scenes are there in all their glory (as much as they can be for a KZbin video). The ratio jumped during watching TDK and TDKR in IMAX, so why is this a problem?
@ActiumFilms10 жыл бұрын
Oh I understand, but for the non-IMAX cinema release as well as DVDs, they did do it, so you wouldn't be disrespecting the look of the film.

Great compilation. However, I think some of the action scenes might work better as a separate video, with something more bombastic (like Aggressive Expansion) playing in the background.

Awesome Nolan tribute. The man has never made a bad movie. May I ask, what did you use to rip the footage off DVDs?

@swimteamizzle1114 Only BB, TDK and Inception share fonts. The others are all diferent (although Insomnia's is close).

It's weird that the title sequence for all of his movies have spaces in between the letters.

Fantastic work. One question though, where do you get all your clips?

I didn't realize an old comment of mine has disappeared from the top comments, but I mentioned that unfortunately I didn't end up going with Following because of the complete shift in style and ratio and there is very little visually for the film to emulate in such a piece as this. But no Nolan fan should ignore Following.

@JimmyFraska13 жыл бұрын
@SilentWarProductions I'd have to agree with your choice. The cinematography of Wally Pfister also provides a nice continuity between the films you chose, whereas Following would have felt out of place.
