It's really hard to sell and then rebuy at a lower cost basis. At this point I think the best strategy is to not buy when you were considering selling and save that money instead for when it goes lower.

A lot of people won't have spare fiat to accumulate with. These markets are brutal and whilst the rich will always find a few thousand spare dollars to snap up a good deal, a large number of us barely have enough to put bread on the table. One can see why, at the end of the day "cash is king". You may not have growth potential but you have security for today....and that is all some of us can hope for.

Hi Rob, this buy sell (and very probably rebuy some months later) as pointed out in the article does not make too much sense in countries such as Germany, where crypto holders do not pay any tax on profit if one holds crypto one year or longer in the portfolio, otherwise 40%+ tax! So for tax laws like that the question would be, is a coin more expensive in one year+, if the cycle is relatively normal, yes. Therefore there is no point of selling. Moreover, I agree with your point and will do some more DCA.

so for you btc still is tied to S & P.. it's not separated .. but if u are a real believer u would feel that at some point it does.. and u may take profits but what do you do with those profits? hold in cash and wait for a better time to get back in.. so u must think there will be better days..i don't know this as fact just assuming bc of the logic you use.. which i think is likely correct I think.. if btc ever shows signs of making it long term then i assume u will not sell off your btc or am i misinterpreting what you are saying???
