Joey said that communication between the team doctor and the independent doctor is: A. almost non-existent B. Time. Games would be held up for over 20 minutes in order for the 'correct' medical decision. Major Problem- making the right medical decision for a concussed player within 50 seconds. Hence the problem that exists.

wow, 1st of all Big wrap on the West Tigers to go toe to toe with one of the big three. 2nd, in regards to the push you, now pull me, debacle, it's not (really) a clubs fault that a grown man thinks that a little bit of slap and tickle, with player on the opposite team could be exactly what this game needs to happen right now. Instead of sending off players, or having them miss a week or 2 for a non-violent foul, we instead place the incident on report, review the instigator and use... Fines, Massive Fines tens of thousands... I don't care how fast, strong or old you are, but when your mum, wife, girlfriend and/or boyfriend find out that you spent $60,000 just on a car, there are questions and consequences just for that decision, now imagine being fined $15,000-$20,000 for absolutely nothing, nothing more than being annoying. 3rd, The HIA is a touchy subject, I'm all for airing on the side of slow and steady, but I'm not 23 years old nowadays, (sh*t wish I was in my 30s) I mean if a young man/woman is given the thumbs up to play... (under advice post-HIA) he/she will. coaches know it, runners know it, Doctors know it... and so do the players parents, and loved ones.

The more they mess with the rules the worse it gets. every rule brings another problem which brings another rule change which brings another problem and round and round we go. Just go back to the 1995 rules stop trying to change the game into something it never was. The people that complain about the odd punch up ignore. Get players to sign agreements that they accept and know the risks if they want to play. We live in a world with boxing and ufc i dont see why the NRL has to cotton wool their game and players. And go back and look at the crowds the game use to get and how it was played then women and kids loved it im not suggesting the late 70s violence just back to the 90s when there a mix of it all speed class skill toughness. spud and Harrigan, Alfie and Stuart, Mullins and Renouf. way more entertaining than the last 7 years

Referees stopping the game for a bit of pushing and shoving is part of the problem. Call play on and you won't get half the team taking themselves out of the game for no reason. If they have to stop the game or it happens when the ball is out of play then bin the 3rd guy.

If they do want to get rid of the biff - every player involved $5000 individual fine for each biff that occurs in a game, club cops $10000 flat fine as well, on top of this any player who takes a swing regardless of whether it hits or not sin bin 5 mins.
