Love you knowledge of Brockways . I too am a Brockway enthusiast my dad drove a lot of them and my driving career started with Brockways in the 70’s

Most important difference is that Brockway is way cooler than Mack !

Mack built cabs for Brockway. That's why they are so similar. Built in Cortland N.Y. . Also known as the Cortland Flyer. They pulled the units down assembly line with a rope.

There’s a rumour that Brockway designed the Superliner in their dying days in 1976-77. My Dad had to replace the rusted out cab on his ‘72 R686 Mack with a 237, 5 speed and Mack 38s on a camelback suspension without front brakes. He also had a ‘58 B61.

Boy you bring back memories. Back in 1965, I was in Chu Lai, Viet Nam(USMC) VMA 225, and the SeaBees had two long nosed Brockway tractors there painted Navy Gray and stenciled USN with the numbers and I still have a photo of one of them parked near our airstrip there. Bill

Modified F series Mack cabs were used on an Australian built truck called Leader.

You have a very informative channel. Back in the mid seventies, I used to haul a lot of Mack parts and cabs out of a warehouse called Quaker Warehouse in north Philadelphia. They were a distribution operation for Mack Truck, and a lot of times I would get a couple fully dressed cabs already painted and ready to mount for wreck replacement to different dealers. Sometimes I would get some bare shells to go to Brockway dealers and that's the first time I saw the difference. Bill

My uncle had a 77 and it was a fat back also Brockway moved the heater to the right so you didn’t bang your knee on it, the cab just seemed roomier . Mack came out with the fat back in 73 so it’s easy to tell them apart also the fattys had the adjustable steering wheel. Thanks 👍

Thanks for showing the differences. I've always wondered how different the brock cab's were from the R model cabs.

In 2017, my nephew and I drove out to Santa Cruz and bought a 1966 Kenworth W Model Conventional and drove it back to Ohio while we took turns following in the pickup. The Old Gentleman had bought it Brand New and put every mile it had on it, except the miles the factory test drove it. He picked it up at the factory and he and his wife drove it home. It was a single axle and he hauled mostly bulk fruit and vegetables for the farms in the Sacramento valley. Bill
