[Tidbits & Clarifications] - Aizen was explaining that every species has a cap, Shinigami have 4 principles in combat and he seeks to find a way to surpass that. This means that he's already reached the pinnacle of all forms of Shinigami power. - Rukia didn't lose her Soul Reapers powers. Ichigo had them, but Byakuya severed that connect meaning her powers are returning. She would have become a human if she wasn't found, but since she was found she left the Gigai that Urahara made so she didn't become Human. [Your fixation with the flickering light was hilarious 😂]

Well yes and no, the giga used had the hogioku in it, and they allowed the hogioiku to connect to and hide within her soul, pretty sure she woulda left the gigai to enter soul society, as it's a spirit realm, and then because the hogioku was in her soul it prevented her powers from returning, and why her powers began to return in her spirit form after it was removed

Im sure people already mentioned, but when rukia was captured, the gigai that urahara made was destroyed, her soul just remained weak, and weakened further from being isolated in walls of seki seki.

She uses the GIGAIi that contains the HOGYOKU but took it away when she went to Soul Society. The GIGAI was Special and made the HOGYOKU to Mix with her Soul and that's why they needed the SOKYOKU or "Urahara's Artifact".

In the Hueco Mundo Arc there are a few "filler" episodes. I'd say throw out feelers first. That whole arc is pretty much good. Some things feel goofy, but are great.

3:01 Rukia is not human. They destroyed her gigai after capturing her in the human world. A gigai is just a shell for those shinigami who have been in the human world for too long and for some reason lost their powers. Hollows prefer strong souls, which are usually always shinigami, and gigai help hide that. When a shinigami uses a gigai, it disguises itself as a normal human soul.

I disagree with skipping filler because it lets you spend more time with the characters, but I realize I'm in the extreme minority here. But the first movie is mostly canon and should be watched for sure. It is referenced in the Thousand Year Blood War, and takes place around this time.
