You made two huge investments in speed, with the new sails and the cleaned and refinished bottom. That jib looks as smooth and hard as a wing. No wonder you are blasting along. Thanks for all the vistas!

i just got back from my first ever cruise along the inside passage of alaska... unfortunately in a massive cruise ship and not my own widdle boat. My wife finally asked me to stop saying, "Hey!!! This is close to where RAN was!!!" Cool to be back online to see your story continue to unfold. Fair winds and following seas! :)

Good to see you two beautiful people back on the water! What I respect and admire about you guys is that your yacht is always clean and in prestine condition, unlike so many cruisers that seem to kinds give up on the maintenance side of the little things. Much respect to you.

9 knots? Ok...so you had some current but still, that's a nice boost. Anyways, glad to see you're back on the water and on the move. Thanks for sharing and by the way, I'm extremely jealous of you both for attending the 50th anniversary of the moon landings and hearing Mike & Buzz talk...AND eating dinner below an SR-71. That's cool!

Congratulations on a fine refit! Lots of hard work, trials and tribulations which paid off in the end. The hull is looking very good. In fact reminds me of my navy days ...nice grey paint all over, is that a torpedo tube on the port bow! Seriously the grey does look good. How many expensive cars are grey these days? It's such a nice contrast to white plastic. My own modest boat is black...

Awesome that your back travelling, By the way, the mic at the museum was pretty rough. A nice smooth stainless shackle can work for your jib sheet block in a pinch, of course you've got to keep an eye on it for chafe, but I've done it with out problems.

Good to see your pretty little sailing ship in the water once again. What amazes me, as an ex professional sailor, it the fact that there are two buoyage systems: IALA A and B. For us european the life saving rule is: Red to Red on entering, like the Rule of the road: Red to Red, Green to Green and you are safe. IALA B says the opposite which is quite confusing, for us, as it is confusing for americans or asians or others our IALA A, but we have the advantage of coherence.
