Timeline …YES! It’s a fun read. Can’t wait to read it again. Ugh, I need more time to read more Crichton!

Timeline is so much fun. You should enjoy it

I'm thinking I'll start with that one. Thanks!

A TBR is always in motion, but the PLAN is... The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop, Summer Knight by Jim Butcher, Glass House by Paul Jessup, Sycamore by Ian Rogers and When the Moon Hits your Eye by John Scalzi. Anything else is just icing.

I saw an interview with Kelly Bishop and Lauren Graham about that book. Looks fun! :)

I’ve enjoyed a lot of Michael Crichton’s novels but Timeline isn’t one I’ve read so I look forward to hearing what you make of it. I haven’t done a TBR for November but I have done a potential one for the Read What You Own Challenge which will probably take me through November with books to spare 😉
@TedReadInstead2 ай бұрын
Well, there you go! You have a TBR already built-in! (As do we all!). ;)

I love a good time travel story can’t wait to see what you think of Timeline. Doing a nonfiction November read this month.

Yeah, I saw that! I may try that, as I'd like to read a couple of biographies. :)

Ugh, 88 degrees sounds horrible. It's been unseasonably warm here in Illinois, but I think we're finally trending cooler. Hope you enjoy your November reads. Timeline is one of the Crichton novels I've missed for whatever reason, but it sounds right up my alley. I talk about my November TBR in a video I just recorded, but long story short, it's mostly nonfiction plus a book of SF short stories. Have a good one!

Hey Bryan! Thanks for commenting. :) Yes, according to some of these comments, I'm in for a treat with Timeline.

Yeah today the high is 92 in Arizona but it's supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow which might actually feel cold at this point. Seems like you got some good books which is aways a nice feeling! I am going to be reading the sequel to a book I just read by Gene Wolfe in November which I'm excited about.

I've heard at least AZ has a dry heat...so there's that! :)

Can't wait to see what you think of "Timeline." I've only ever seen the mediocre movie adaptation, but the premise was still really interesting. Enjoy your break from long books!
@TedReadInstead3 ай бұрын
Oh! I had no idea there was a movie adaptation. Thank you! :)

I love compression, give me 'Heart of Darkness' any day over 'Vanity Fair' or 'Great Expectations', compression seems to facilitate greater attention to mood & character. I love a really strong novella, or collection of short stories, but then I am a poet. I love fantasy, but often fear that the word processor has made a sprawling, undisciplined yarn too easy. Interesting what draws us... Thanks for another wonderful & stimulating video.

Thanks for your comment! :) Yes, I am enjoying these smaller books as a break. :)
