An update on how Kate the Peregrine Falcon is doing. Martin is spending a lot of time with her and it will still be quite some time before he knows her future -- she may stay, she may go - it all depends on her. Either way, Martin will continue to evaluate what is best for her future.

🔺 Our Mission 🔺
Founded in 1997 in Cedar City Utah, we are a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and education.
Rescue, Rehabilitate and Release
The Southwest Wildlife Foundation of Utah (SWF) cares for more than 100 sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife annually. Restoring them to health and returning them to the wild is our primary goal.
Informing, Educating and Inspiring
The SWF provides over 100 educational programs reaching over 30,000 people annually. We believe providing educational outreach programs to schools, scout groups and community events, with focus on children and families, will make the greatest impact in preserving our wildlife, the environment, our public lands and our resources for future generations to enjoy.
Martin Tyner
Since age twelve, with a bird on his arm, Martin has captivated audiences sharing his knowledge and experience of his wildlife friends.
At age nineteen, Martin was hired as curator of birds of prey at Busch Gardens, CA. He also worked in the movie and television industry training big cats, elephants, primates, sea mammals and raptors.
“One of my greatest childhood fantasies was the desire to create a personal friendship with a wild eagle. I found myself with a love and fascination for these powerful creatures.”
Martin Tyner is a federally licensed falconer, eagle falconer, wildlife rehabilitator, wildlife propagator, and wildlife and environmental educator.
He has been providing wildlife and environmental programs throughout the western United States, to schools, scouts and community groups for over fifty years.
“Grandpa believed in a very simple philosophy; that a person should get up every morning and do good. Doing good means that you do well for others and doing well means that you do good for yourself. There is nothing wrong with doing well, but Grandpa always believed in doing good.”
Martin's book, Healer of Angels, reflects back on his life: from a young boy terrified of birds to becoming the first man in North America licensed to train a wild golden eagle in the ancient art of falconry.
Through a heartwarming collection of true stories he describes his challenging transformation from a shy dyslexic teenager, to the founder and CEO of the Southwest Wildlife Foundation.

Congratulations to Kate's adoption to the Tyner family! I remember the first vid of her family and her that was posted. Martin and Kate have formed a bond, albeit a beginning. You love challenges, and Kate has brightened your life, Mr. Tyner. I can see the subtle differences in her stance, her vocals and eye contact with you. You are an extremely patient and devoted to all of your birds. Kate, however, is special. I pray that both of you continue to grow in trust, and Kate will make the right decision when she is first released. She is quite fierce, brave and regal. I appreciate everything that your wife, team and you do for every wildlife that you encounter and every human that you educate. As a Texas Master Naturalist in East TX., there is no better joy than to learn, educate and live amongst our wildlife. Every species has its place. Thank you for your devotion and compassion. Most sincerely!

@@yeetnama9094 I speak from experience/wisdom, many humans have been hurt by other humans. A non-human species, such as dog, will give unconditional love. Wildlife may not give unconditional love, but they fill a void in many human's lives that would be extremely lonely and gives the individual(s) much needed joy. I'm happy that you have not had any negative experiences. It is mankind that evokes cruelty not non-humans.

I NEVER ask people what they think an animals name should be. It's not theirs. They don't live with it or know it's personality. It's not like going to the hospital and having a baby and you have to give them a name before they let you leave. Id just be in trouble because I usually don't name that fast. Now the last little hamster i had, that me and my husband brought home together from the pet store, I named her about a year before I got her. He didn't really care for the name but I let him name the one we currently had so he let me name her. The one we had, he said you need to name her Aggie. Aggie for Aggie the aggressor. Because I got her free because they couldn't sell her because she was so aggressive towards humans, or so they said. She bit me one time when I got her home and that was it. She is a Winter White Dwarf Hamster I told him the next one will be named Dacey. IDK why but it just popped in my head. She was going to be a Dacey. Yes another Winter White Dwarf Hamster. We got her after Aggie passed and as I said she was the last me and him got together But most cases I always tell people don't worry about it. There's always someone posting in a cat group on Facebook. Well a few groups. I always tell them give it about 2 weeks and he/she will name themselves. It's like it just clicks one day. You will be talking to them, playing with them and a random name will come from nowhere and you're like that's IT!! THAT'S your name and it just FITS!! So I get Kate coming to Martin. She named herself when he gave her a chance like They all will. Like my Twiddle cat I had well me and my husband had. She passed a little over a year after him. I had her with me for 22 years. I had her for about 2 weeks and the name Twiddle Britches came out one day. I miss my parents, my husband and my Twiddle Britches SOOOOO BAD!! Do I not miss the hamsters?? YES! Of course I do. But you know they have a very short lifespan when you get them. You have no choice but to accept it the minute you get them home

Martin. I haven’t heard about the latest update on the Enoch Rescue Center? How is the build out coming along? When will it be completed? When will the birds start coming in?

If you go to their KZbin or other social media sights, there is update on grand opening of new facility SOON. Super congrats on this achievement. It's great question.

@@samtheman4958 You are such a wonderful, pro-advocate for wildlife. May you continue to inspire others. TY. I have to go feed my outside crew of wild song birds! I have one crow that will soar over to get his piece of bread each night. I call him Solo. Such spoiled wildlife!

Is the food flinging typical?? Will her eating habits change as she becomes more socialized???

Beautiful. I would have loved to have had her sit on my hand- I never understood why people who do not understand that loving symbiotic relationship between person and bird, that those people have the opportunity to have their own bird.? Why would a falconer have a bird if he does not care for that symbiotic relationship? Stupid people.

Hello Mr. Tyner! I always love your videos when you help the animals. But what I do not accept and understand is that you keep the hawk and the golden eagle as pets and in captivity! Falconer or not, I hate it!! And then tie the falcon down so it can't fly away! These animals are suffering and not happy! I'm so sorry for you for thinking like this. It's my opinion and I feel so sorry for these animals!! Greetings from Germany
